Okay. I checked Google News and read that TODAY, Alexander switched from YES to NO on cloture. And this was due to his constituents contacting him. Good work Volunteers!!!

Thanks for the update on Alexander! I also contacted Mel Martinez’ office this afternoon and informed them that I would no longer be giving any financial assistance to the RNC or volunteering any of my time for any Republicans who voted in favor of Amnesty for illegals.

If the following just in fron NRO is true, it is very good news indeed:
>>Barrasso on Amnesty [Mark Krikorian]
Good news from a reader:
During the selection process to replace Senator Thomas, Dr. Barrasso said he takes the same position as Enzi on the immigration bill and opposes amnesty. He will likely follow Enzi’s lead on this issue.

Im surprised you got a lucid answer from Senator Feinsteins office. I wrote to her several times, and got replies back that referred to legislation or pending legislation totally different from the subject I had written on. Gave up on even trying with her. First time I wrote to Judd Greg (R-NH) he responded on a totally different topic. Two more letters and he's been mum. Sent a 4th message today. Asked Sununu to have a chat with his fellow sen. from NH.

I did my part today and called my two senators,Lugar and Bayh and Lugars office said he was voting against cloture and Bayhs office was unsure how he was going to vote.
To: ding_dong_daddy_from_dumas
That is good news but we got to make sure he votes no on cloture as is Enzi. By the sound of things it looks like he plans to at least, which would only leave us needing 7 more to go.

Dick Lugar said he was voting against cloture? If that’s true then things really are going our way.

They might not get 60 YES votes the first time, but I’ll bet they will try again if they don’t. Lots of pork and arm-twisting possibilities. All we have on our side is the people.

Boxer of California voted against cloture (!) on the first try at this amnesty bill. We've been calling and faxing non-stop, but her minions won't say how she's voting this time.
Feinswine's vote definitely won't be on our side - she has sold out to the highest bidder.
