Germany warns of terror threat, urges vigilance

BERLIN (Reuters) - German authorities called on Friday for increased vigilance against possible terror attacks and said the kind of threat detected before the September 11, 2001 suicide hijackings in the United States had resurfaced.

Interior Minister Wolfgang Schaeuble said the threat was "serious" and suicide attacks were possible on German soil.

The present situation recalled the summer of 2001 "when obscure threats surfaced which, as we know, became reality", said Deputy Interior Minister August Hanning.

"We are seeing evidence that some action is planned in (the Afghanistan and Pakistan region) but also further afield, in Europe and in the United States," Hanning said in Berlin.

"We are following up all leads and therefore I don't think there is any reason to panic, not at all. But I do think that increased vigilance is needed."

Interior Ministry spokesman Christian Sachs said earlier there was evidence to suggest terrorist training groups in Afghanistan had become stronger and were ready for action.

People from Europe, including Germany, were part of these groups.

German state broadcaster ZDF had reported on Friday that the government had evidence 10 to 12 people from Germany were in militant training camps in Afghanistan and Pakistan.

Three of them, including two people considered dangerous, were arrested in Pakistan as they attempted to travel back to Germany, ZDF said

You hit me completely unprepared. Wait - I will just start to make one up for you.

Here comes my german world order:

First thing to know - we are taking over from the united states of america - the term ‘new world order’ was forged by Woodrow Wilson - so it’s not a very new - but of course a highly discussed one.

First:

Nuclear energy is the devil (that’s what my compatriotes believe in high numbers though this believe is not so popular under engineers)

Second:

Don’t put corn into beer (yuck) - if you have to improve things for business - don’t do business with beer.

Third:

Don’t try to invade a country - be in the invading business and mean it or retire from it completely.

Forth:

clubbing a small ball over a fence isn’t sport. It’s anoying neighbours.

fith:

football is a game where players play the ball (round !) with the feet (only the feet !) - soccer isn’t even a word.

sixth:

liberal - means ‘freedom loving’ in all terms ( e.g. society, economy, religion) how can you attribute such a word to lefties ? They are stupid mislead creatures but not ‘liberals’. At least the word is linked to liberty.

seventh:

global warming: No use denieing it’s happening. Is it man made ? We don’t know yet - but maybe it is. To have an opinion about it don’t ask politicians or pop stars. You wouldn’t ask a lawyer how to repair your car.

eigth:

If you get dissed about beeing to strong in a union you probably do things right - go on with it.

If russia and germany teamed up it was always a positive experience for us. Well - the world had some issues last time but we can try and find a win-win situation with the world this time. let’s build german trains for russia and do business

If you really messed up with people it’s best to apologize and believe in a second chance - let more jews come to our country and live here - make sure they are not botherd.
