Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barbara Boxer say Oklahoma Sen. James Inhofe "needs to have his hearing checked" if he thinks he heard them talking about a "legislative fix" to curb conservative talk radio.
Inhofe, a Republican, said Thursday on John Ziegler's evening radio show on KFI in L.A. that he overheard Clinton, D-N.Y., and Boxer, D-Calif., saying they want legislation to control conservative radio talk shows.

"I was going over to vote the other day and I was walking with two very liberal gals that didn’t pay any attention to me being with them. They were outraged by something you said or Rush Limbaugh or somebody said that upset them," Inhofe told Ziegler. "They said, ‘we have got to do something about this, these are nothing but far-right wing extremists. We’ve got to have a balance, there’s got to be a legislative fix to this.’"

I’m not the brightest bulb in the pack, but how can anyone miss what’s going on here? The left is all about censorship. PC is simply a way of defining “correct” speech and thoughts.
The Democrats will take control in ‘08. The WH and at least keep the Senate. They may even keep the House if Jorge keeps up his antics. Shortly after the ‘08 takeover, maybe by ‘09, they will severly restrict talk radio. That will signal the begining of a freefall into Marxism.
Silence the oppositon. Crater the economy so that only the richest can survive without the government’s help. Convince the people the richest among them is at fault for the current problems. Ask for and receive expanded government powers in order to “help people”.
That’s how it will play out, just as Hugo Chavez.

I think you have hit upon the scenario the Lefties would like to see play out. If it does, it could be civil war time.

“They” will be stronger. “They” will take control of the government, military and police forces. Taking up your gun as an individual is signing your own death warrant.
I’m afraid Americans are going to have to lose freedom before they understand what it was, and value it as they should. At that point, a resistance will have to form.
This all sounds very nutty in our context, but look through history. It’s not tin foil hat time, it’s reading the writing on the wall.

Not right away. It will take a while for people to chaffe at the bit of communism. Slowly people will realize what they lost when they realize that the rations at the mall, and the government provided entertainment just aren’t worth it.
