Who knows. Maybe they’ll take a look at “jurisdiction” phrase and finally decide that illegals are NOT within our jurisdiction, seeing as how they are here without permission of the United States.

Even if it passes it would not hold up to a Supreme Court challenge.

See: United States v. Wong Kim Ark,

As of now, the only people considered to be not under our jurisdiction are foreign diplomats, who have diplomatic immunity. If you say illegal aliens are not under our jurisdiction, how can we prosecute them for illegal entry, or for crimes they commit while here? If they are subject to our jurisdiction for some purposes, they are subject to our jurisdiction for purposes of the 14th Amendment.

In terms of credibility, few match Hunter on illegal immigration, and none surpass.

What about in terms of pork-barrel spending? ROFL

ah, for the times, they are a changing.
if the people get behind this, it will be done, and the SC can stay out of it or have justices removed.
for the times, they are a changing.

It would be wonderful if were retroactive. I have a few names I will give Hunter and Tancredo of anti-American Panamanians who have flown to the U.S. just before giving birth so their brats could have U.S. citizenship. One of the mothers flies to Miami once a month to have the hairs on her legs yanked off even though Panama has that same facility. (Panama does not live in a cave.)

Our federal courts system has been out of control for 40 years, since the Warren court. It’s past time for the Congress to start doing its job and passing and enforcing laws that reflect the wishes of American citizens.

No offense meant, but I don't care what Ron Paul does. He is a weird guy, and in spite of a loyal following, he is a 4th tier player in national politics. In fact, he hurts a cause by supporting it.

I've been following Ron Paul since 1982, when I used to read his daily insertions into the Congressional Record. Yes, I was that big a geek. Some of his positions were outstanding; others were lunacy. The loony ones have marginalized him.

First of all, the Birthright Citizenship Act of 2007 will not pass.

Second, even if it does pass, President Bush will VETO.

Suppose it does pass and Bush signs it, it will be overturned by the Courts.
