What am I smoking? Just because I believe that Duncan Hunter is the best for America? Come on now. Who else is there...Fred is just the big jock on campus right now. Sure he speaks well but is a fraud. Guiliani is a serious liberal but did well on 9/11, Mitt is ok, but Duncan is better. John McCain is a hero but is too old and tends to say things that make him appear unstable. So President Hunter is our way to a better America.

Nope, I won't even begin to get into an argument over something so subjective. I'm willing (soley for this point) to grant you that Duncan Hunter is the best possible leader out of the field. He's still not going to get the nod, and I refuse to pretend that he's got any chance at all. It's a pipe dream man. At some point even a die-hard Hunter fan has to admit that it's just not going to happen. Political realities can be a bitch, but they're realities none the less.

So who are you thinking is going to win the nomination?

IIRC, Ron Paul has offered his own bill to end anchor babies for several years now. He should get together with Tancredo and Hunter (or vice versa) and push one bill.

This is not election year politics from Hunter. He has been on the case from the get go and has the spine to take it on and not back down. With the exception of Tancredo on immigration, Hunter is as solid an all-around candidate you will find and would make the best nominee and a President we could trust in office, unlike the other declared and undeclared candidates.

Too bad GOP voters go along with the same old, same old in who gets elected. The party needs to be cleaned out or another party is the only option.

“Just one addition would be nice, MAKE IT RETROACTIVE.”

My comment was -), nothing wrong with a little wishful thinking.

I dunno. However, I know that it will be Rudy, Fred, Mitt, or possibly McCain. None of the others are financially able to mount a credible counter to any of the above, and like it or not, in politics, money talks.

Even if it passes, the Supreme Court would certainly hold it unconstitutional under the 14th Amendment.

Probably by the same 5-4 lineup that ruled that CO2 was a pollutant under the Clean Air Acts.

H.R. 1940: Birthright Citizenship Act of 2007 needs more cosponsors. Call your Representative and tell them to get on board.
