I haven't seen this posted yet... sorry if it has.

Depressing as hell. These IEDs just keep getting bigger and bigger.

How do you want to win in Iraq if you don’t strike the country that produces this IEDs ?

Bomb Iran.

Don’t get too depressed. We are fighting back right now. There is a huge offensive going on all around Baghdad. We are bound to get some casulties when we fight.

Violence will increae for a time as the surge now goes into effect full-thrust.

But many Al Queda rat's nests will be finally uprooted as a result and Baghdad will be much more secure.

God's blessing be on our troops during this time of increased fighting.

I am watching C-Span 2 and Harry Reid just said this and that it was not in the morning news. Pray for our men and women.

I could be wrong, but the area where these brave men were killed is the same area that we are waging a full-scale battle. Right now, we are in a BIG battle for Baquba.

Nancy Pelosi shown reacting to news with her political ally.

Here's another pic of Democrats cheering the news of 14 more dead US soldiers

Something else you will never hear on Fox, "because it is out of context"

May God be with those families

Typical CNN cr*p reporting. Nothing whatever about anything being attempted or achieved; what progress we’re making; how many terrorists killed/captured or weapons caches destroyed; or what intel the locals are providing. Just a listing of casualties. We pray for them and for their families, and for all those who risk their lives for us. But we’d also like to hear what’s going on.

I followed the link to the CNN article, and was surprised there was no video of their cheerleaders, or the champaign party.

Another zero-context report that makes it seem like our troops are sitting ducks.

We just launched the biggest offensive operations in several sectors of Iraq since May 2003, so it's no suprise that casualties are up.

Of course, youy won't hear any report that makes our troops sound like anything other but hapless victims.

Prayers for the families, honor and pride for the fallen.

“There’s no cookie-cutter formula for countering IEDs, the single biggest threat to U.S. forces in Iraq. The key, Bivens told the JCOC group, is recognizing and countering IEDs — something he said demands constant vigilance because the enemy keeps coming up with new tactics and techniques.”

Above quote about IEDs; the priority (real high!), effort, and money going towards CIED....

What a cheap stunt by CNN. Now they measure the casualties by hours, instead of days. What’s next? Deaths per second?

Boots on the ground without overwhelming numeric superiority is the ultimate of military waste of manpower. Iraq [as Iran war advocates now assert] could have been completely controlled by air and sea power. We can control any country in the world with air and sea power coupled with a missile defense system. Boots on the ground is obsolete. It went out the window after WW II when we were willing to put 15,000,000 in uniform to achieve the necessary superiority. It is just as stupid to keep them there as it was to go in.

Depressing as hell.

You wanna get REALLY depressed? Look at the composition of the Iraqi government we are propping up. I never knew it was possible to "fight terrorism" by propping up the Jihadist of the DAWA party....., you know, the group that worked with Hizbollah (actually, helped birth Hizbollah in Lebanon) to blow up the US Marine Corps barracks.

Just makes me feel like a PATRIOT to be fighting terror like that. Wrap myself in a flag, turn off my reasoning and watch lugubrious photos of 9.11. Thank God for this administration. I have seen first hand how to morph a legitimate, needed war effort (overthrow Hussein) into a nationbuilding bureacratic empire which openly coddles the people we are theoretically trying to kill.

Dimwitted decerebrates on one side the aisle mewl nonsense about the loss of liberty being worth it because it is "for the children" and the other group (mirror images of each other, in my opinion, just different issues), defend the US evolving into a never ending war machine because we are fighting a "WAR ON TERROR"

Just never mind that we are keeping in power those who deliberately murdered US Marines in Lebanon, and who supported Shi'ite militia who openly attack our military now. If you question the wisdom of such asinine foolishness, then you advocate that we "cut and run" and we can't have that, can we?
