WELLINGTON, New Zealand (AP) -- New Zealand authorities have blocked a couple's bid to officially name their new son "4real," saying numerals are not allowed.
Pat and Sheena Wheaton said they decided to name their new baby "4real" shortly after having an ultrasound and being struck by the reality of his impending arrival.
"For most of us, when we try to figure out what our names mean, we have to look it up in a babies book and ... there's no direct link between the meaning and the name," Pat Wheaton told TV One on Wednesday. "With this name, everyone knows what it means."

Clorox Fudge.
Yes, is means that the parents are idiots. Everyone will have that figured out quite quickly.
Bingo!
Some of those unusual names are not bad. I would rate Infinity acceptable because of its beauty, and it is a risky name without being out and out stupid. Plus, you could call your kid ‘Fin’ and no one would be the wiser!
Now, Plausibility would be a stupid name.
And Egg Cup would be downright...
Silly
On a more serious note, I am in the process of looking for a professional stage name (I’m a singer). I don’t want to use Paul, my first name. For my last name, Easterday is my choice. It was my Kindergarten teacher’s name, so it sort of feels like a family name.
I’ve considered Jonathan as a first name, but perhaps Jonathan Easterday is too long. What do you think?
I also like Eric, but, not sure if the double E would sound like a stage name.
Perhaps Jon Eric Easterday... Hmmm...
Because we should not have to retool every computer in the US and even the world to deal with idiots.
These twits should be charged with attempted child abuse, and given drug tests.
Well actually, this happened in New Zealand.
Why must everyone be in a government computer?
Happy Easterday.
Reminds me of the story of David Bowie. He started his singing career using his baptised name. Unfortunately for him, his original name was soon to be associated with a member of the “Pre-fab four”. His original name? Davey Jones, singer of the Monkees. He quickly switched his stage name to David Bowie. He took the last name from Alamo hero Jim Bowie.
LOL!
I think Bill Cosby’s comments about Black people’s children’s names goes across all races anymore...
I always like the name David Bowie. Just enough syllables, distinct, and easy to remember. He picked a great name.
Are we absolutely sure that Jim Bowie was his inspiration for his last name? I had never heard that before, and thought it might be an urban legend. Would be cool if it were true.
You could shorten it to Hap Easterday. :D
Seriously, we can’t help you with a name until we know your genre.
Well, I said my real name is Paul, and that I was considering Jonathan or Eric as a first name. I hope that’s enough of a clue for you! LOL!
Other names I’ve considered are Andrew, Ric (short for Eric — but not much of a singer name), or perhaps something Scandinavian like Per (pron. ‘pair’) or Jan (pron. ‘yahn’).
Maybe I’ll do some more research online today and browse through some names. But I am liking Jon Eric Easterday. I could hyphenate Jon-Eric as well.
Wiki’s source for this is:
Buckley, David [1999] (2000). Strange Fascination - David Bowie: The Definitive Story.
I would trust this source.
Not your gender, dope, your genre.
What kinda stuff you sing?
My middle name just happens to be "Pingme."
LOL! I missed that.
I sing across all genres, including opera and oratorio. But also standards, art song, musical theater, pop, and novelty. Which is why the last name “Klenk” just won’t work. As my voice teacher says, “it’s just not a singer name!”
I also love singing gospel and other Christian music, and as a Christian, am very happy with the name Easterday. As I said, it’s sort of a family name, is very musical, and has a hint of a Christian theme while still being plausibly “real”. (In other words, I don’t want a name that is obviously a stage name. Johnny Flash, therefore, is out of the question.)
Symbols aren’t allowed in America either.
4 crying 0ut 10ud, 1et’s h0pe they can a4d 2 get steri1ized.
Is that symbolic of something?
