For those of us out here who really do have a moderate position on immigration, who really do seek a reasoned approach that in the long run allows for some form of "guest workers," the immigration bill being considered by the Senate is more and more of an affront the more and more its details become clear. It is an affront because it appears to have been written in bad faith, by illegitimate procedures, with all sorts of smoke screens meant to snooker us into believing the bill is moderate and balanced.
In fact, the bill is a radical and dangerous attempt to open the floodgates.
It must be stopped.

"Show me just what Mohammed brought that was new, and there you will find things only evil and inhuman, such as his command to spread by the sword the faith he preached." - Manuel II Palelologus
McCain said conservatives who want to focus exclusively on securing America’s borders are missing a major part of the problem: that 40 percent of the estimated 12 million undocumented immigrants living in the United States are here because they overstayed their visas, not because they entered the country illegally.
Hello Mc Cain - WTF is the difference ?
No Z for Zombie Visa’s
our undead politicians are looking for mindless zombies not involved citizens.
Let your Senator know, you think he needs “ brains..brains” because it seems like the Senate has shared Marion Berrry’s pipe once too often.
This is just the next step in putting the American citizens in the meat grinder. We citizens aren’t supposed to notice as we are gound up. If this current crop of politicians don’t do the job for the illegals and the mooselimbs, then the next group of politicians will be paid even more handsomely to do in Amercia and the American citizens. The citizens are worthless to the politicians and the big money. Money talks and We the People watch, but can do little else. I wish us luck. We are going to need luck to beat these traitors.
I prefer lipstick on a pig....but I agree with you.....
No matter how much we liked Tony as a talk-radio host or a sub for Rush, he is now no more than a mouthpiece for Bush.
It would be interesting if anyone could recall any of Tony's remarks on this back in his talk-radio days. The subject almost certainly would have come up. I'll bet he has done a 180 since joining W and Co.
I wish US luck as well, this seems to be a very serious problem.
U.S. Constitution, Article 4 Section 4:
"The United States shall guarantee to every State in this Union a Republican Form of Government,
1. The act of invading; the act of encroaching upon the rights or possessions of another; encroachment; trespass.
Great article. Ping this to get it back to the top. I’ll try to comment on this later.
CW II Ping.
Hopefully not too much. As always the basics will play a big part: God, guts and guns. Along with determination and ingenuity.
If anyone has a take on the Presidential candidates’ stances on S1348, pleae ping me?

I like my amnesty plan!
Please call them INVADERS and dont compare them to people who are legal aliens!
IF you aid and abet CRIMINALS, you are a criminal!
President Bush has been great on most things except for our border.
He has been great on the war on terrorists.
But on the border he is a gross failure.
He acted fast and correct on the 3,000+ people murdered at the world trade center.
He ignores the many rapes, murders and robberies which might be larger than the murders and money loss at the world trade center.
More Americans are abducted on the border of Mexico than in Iraq!
Start building the fence.
It should be made a felony for Criminals who overstay their visas and Invaders.
I believe we should give amnesty to these poor CRIMINALS or INVADERS.
This should be a 2 week amnesty to get the heck out of our Country.
The ones who ignore this amnesty should be buried in a tent city jail and fined $10,000 or buried elsewhere.
All aiders and abettors of these CRIMINALS or INVADERS should get 1 year in a tent city jail and a $10,000 fine for each CRIMINAL aided.
Those in government should be the first ones charged.
I’m one of those moderates, and I’m disgusted by the Senate bill, which seems designed to make me look like an idiot for supporting any form of amnesty.
Very well written
