Two New Hampshire tax evaders say they expect to die if authorities try to remove them from their heavily fortified home. Ed and Elaine Brown of Plainfield, convicted of federal tax evasion in January, didn't bother to show up in court for sentencing and were given five and a half years in prison, WCVB-TV in Boston reported Monday

Only immigration scofflaws are given a free pass. Revenue flows to them.
These folks are revenue providers. That’s all the difference in the world. The government won’t just forget about them.
Everyone here needs to view there movie.

They have the courage of their convictions.
Like hell they do. If they did they wouldn’t have felt the need to launder their earnings. This guy is a tinfoil-hatted nutbag.
It was a pun son.
Some pun, son.
Dumbasses.
These wack jobs are hoping for another Ruby Ridge or Waco. It’s too bad that Randy Weaver saw fit to “legitimize” their case a little bit by putting in an appearance. I hope the government lets them rot right where they are. It certainly is cheaper than putting them up in a federal prison somewhere.
What would the government try to hide by charging in and killing them?
Sixteenth Amendment:
The Congress shall have power to lay and collect taxes on incomes, from whatever source derived, without apportionment among the several States, and without regard to any census or enumeration.
They know this, they are fully versed in the law(tax protesters always are). They refuse to admit it, they refuse to submit to the law like everybody else, and eventually they will serve their time.
Problem is, there are just enough other nutbags to give this guy airtime on WMUR.
Go back to sleep...
Whackaloons and crooks.
Please provide some soy sauce with that.
You have cited the amendment giving the Fed.gov the AUTHORITY to enact laws to tax their wages. Now, can you show us the actual atatute MAKING them liable for those taxes? The legislation that actually IMPLEMENTS the 16th Amendment? (Like the Volstead Act did for Prohibition?)
That’s what I am saying: withdrawl the FEDs, and let them live, they’re practiacally in prision anyway..if they venture too far of their own property they will be arrested anyway!
You can look them up on the internet.
Here are some other things for you to look at.

When I was in college (far too many years ago) I had a teacher who said basically the following:
You know, when a policeman tries to stop you to give you a traffic ticket, you don’t have to go along with it. You can refuse. You can fight him off. By whatever means you can.
Of course what will happen is that the policeman will call backup, and you will have to fight them off as well or they will take you to jail. But let’s assume you succeed in fighting and defeating the backups.
Then ALL the policemen will show up to take you to jail. But let’s assume you succeed in fighting off all the policemen. What happens then?
Well, then they call out the National Guard to take you into custody. But let’s assume you succeed in defeating the National Guard.
Well, then they call in the Army. And to move this discussion along, let's assume that you succeed in defeating the Army. What happens then?
Well, my friend, congratulations. YOU are now the government, and YOU can make any d--- laws you please.
This is a time-honored process, used successfully by Lenin, Oliver Cromwell, George Washington, and others. And also attempted UNsuccessfully by many more.
There are, what, 10,000 tax resisters, and 299,990,000 people who understand that the Income Tax was enacted by the American People through their elected representatives. If you're a tax resister or sympathetic, don't cower behind some pseudo-legal rationale that the Income Tax isn't really real.
Even if the Government's power were illegitimate, it can never admit that its power IS illegitimate. When a government admits it is illegitimate it quickly disappears. Example: U.S.S.R., August-December 1991. I leave the identification of additional examples to the student. But this is all hypothetical, since the U.S. Government does not admit that its power is illegitimate. And I certainly don't believe it is illegitimate. Your beliefs are your problem. But don't imagine you will ever get a court to agree that the Income Tax doesn't exist. What judge is going to rule that his next paycheck and every paycheck after that is going to bounce?
So a true and honorable tax resister has three choices: submit to the will of the American People, leave, or, well, you should be able to figure out the third. Free Republic wants no part of any attempt to overthrow the American Republic, and neither do I.
Doing what the Browns have done, which is try to sneak around the law, then when they get caught try to claim that they haven't broken the law through some pseudo-legal codswallop just makes them look like losers. Which they are, in fact.
