A lot of low-hanging Democrat fruit is going to be washed out with the next tide. They have tried to compile conservative voting records at home. What they can't change is their party's liberal leadership.

"These candidates are smart and realize that 2006 was a wave election and it's highly unlikely that Democrats will get back-to-back cycles like that in a row," he said.2006 was over-analyzed with a lot of blame pointed in several directions, but the truth is that '06 was a presidential second term "mid-term" election where losses are historic for the party in power. It wasn't a fluke or an historical anomily.

NOW is the time to boost conservative candidates. If the GOP goes scumbag "moderate", it's doomed.
Personally, I am done with "moderates".

That’s why doomsday scenarios this far out are so ridiculous. ANYTHING can happen in the next 17 months that could change the landscape. Folks should never let discouragement keep them from working hard to achieve a goal.

A lot of wishful thinking, IMHO. It takes wads of cash to run a successful campaign, and the Pubbies have pissed away the support of the base with this immigration sham. Where do they plan on getting the dough? All else being equal, it could have been a very good year.

Pork is a useless campaign issue.
Everyone hates pork unless it happens to benefit their district. If pork were a good campaign issue John Murtha would be out of the House.

85% of the votes against the Immigration bill came from Republicans.
80% of the votes for the Bill came from Democrats.
That is all a Republican candidate need point out when the Immigration issue comes up.
