So I guess fact checking a religious question will soon be outlawed.

Co-incidentally, a serial killer named Nemecek is currently up for parole here in KS.

I still say I will vote for the guy who can list reasons we should vote for him and not mudsling. I assume Fred Thompson hasn’t muddied anyone yet?

I couldn't find "Christian Council of Churches" but did find the American Council of Christian Churches. If this is the same group, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is not the only denomination they decry as "not Christian." According to this group, Roman Catholics are not Christian, indeed one speaker states "Romanism is Satanic."
Listen to a panel discussion they had regarding the Roman Catholic church. So, a lack of endorsement from this group is not the blot that it would seem to be. It's interesting, again if this is the group referrenced, that Mr. Brownback's campaign would send this out given that Mr. Brownback is Catholic.

"Theologically, the only thing Christianity and the LDS church has in common is the name of Jesus Christ, and the LDS Jesus is not the same Jesus of the Christian faith"As far as the second half of this statement goes, the LDS publication, Ensign magazine, made a similar statement way back (about 30 yrs ago)--that the LDS worship a different god than Christendom. Why is then this construed by the Romney camp & others as an "attack upon religion?" The LDS church has already said something similar.
So the LDS church, Romney included, can label everyone else (all non-LDS) an apostate from the true faith & full of "abominable creeds" according to Mormon scripture (Pearl of Great Price, Joseph Smith - History, verse 19) & that's not "attacking" any one, but somebody can merely cite that even the LDS acknowledge they have a different God & that's "attacking?"
