In Oakland, Calif., "marriage," "family values" and "union of a man and a woman" have been deemed hate speech. Here's how it happened: Oakland has anti-discrimination rules protecting homosexuals. In 2002, a letter distributed via the city's e-mail system invited municipal employees to "National Coming-Out Day" activities as part of the city's celebration of diversity and homosexuality. Two workers responded with fliers on employee bulletin boards and elsewhere announcing the formation of the Good News Employee Association for people who oppose "all views which seek to redefine the natural family and marriage." Naturally, a lesbian co-worker was horribly offended and told the city attorney's office the fliers made her feel "targeted" and "excluded."
So city officials did some targeting and excluding of their own. In a memo, they called the Good News fliers "homophobic" and threatened to fire anyone caught posting them. Meanwhile, left-wing groups and heterophobes continued to have unfettered access to the e-mail system and bulletin boards to attack the Bible and vilify Christians.
Good News sued, allowing the U.S. District Court to declare that "natural family," "marriage" and "family values" have "anti-homosexual import." The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals agreed, so unless the Supreme Court overrules, the thought police will have imposed through judicial fiat yet another infringement upon free speech, this one a far-reaching rule forbidding co-workers from speaking "any verbiage that could be offensive to gay people."
America was founded on the belief that full, unrestrained debate is vital to the nation's health and the best way of separating good ideas from bad.
When anti-discrimination laws convey special rights upon minority groups, they upset the constitutional balance and discriminate against the majority by excluding diverse ideas in the name of inclusion.
Ping to a Republican-American Editorial.
If you want on or off this ping list, let me know
OK, Oakland, Calif., so SUE ME you TWITS!
I’m for “TRADITIONAL marriage,” “STRONG family values” and “ONLY the union of a man and a woman!”
The perverts are starting to move from “Equal Rights” to laying down the law to the normals. The ability to give the law to others is an index of superiority of the law giver. Enjoy.
B U M P
I still hold to my right to hate evil and the perpetrators of evil as I see it.
I reserve the right to believe that marriage is the union of one man and one woman, for life.
I reserve the right to believe that only a family created by marriage creates the family values children need to develop right-thinking, ethics, and values of their own under the guidance and direction of a married man and a married woman who can serve as role models to their children.
Someone needs to redefine this as a religious war. After all it is an article of profound faith among homosexuals that they are not under God’s judgment—that they have not angered God— and that their unions have a future.
But the homosexual minority of 1.5% does not have the right to dictate their beliefs to the other 98.5% of the American population.
Here is the 9th Circuit opinion. They kept it very sparse, no discussion of the facts at all, to keep it out of the news I guess. No quotes etc. . . .
Aaah, the gay agenda. Fascism at its finest.
Later read/maybe pingout!
But, but don’t homosexuals, lesbians seek to exclude anyone else?
“..”marriage,” “family values” and “union of a man and a woman” have been deemed hate speech.”
Pretty soon “God”, “loyalty”, “liberal left”, “damnocrat”, “old glory” and words like “responsibility” will also be considered hate speech.
The world would be a better place if the 9th circuit ceased to exist. What a messed up court!
Yea, and the 9th Circus will be yet again overruled by the SCOTUS. That lunatic court needs to be split into two different ones.
Didn’t California voters pass a referendum defining marriage as “between a man and a woman”? So wouldn’t the law be hate speech?
This is a function of the NWO folks’ hostility to:
1. The family
[They also are hostile to:
2. True Christianity
3. National Sovereignty of Nations.]
Because the traitorous evil idiots know those three institutions most stand in the way of their global tyrannical socialist government.

AFTER . . .
sending the current liberal and “moderate” judges on it to . . . a new district . . .
on . . . Titan . . . or further.
CALL! CALL! CALL! CALL! AND KEEP CALLING TILL THE LINES FRY!
WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! WRITE! TILL YOU RUN OUT OF INK IN YOUR PEN!
Bombard the Democrats as well, especially the ones that ran on an anti illegal immigration plank and the ones in marginal districts who could be vulnerable. keep pounding on them. This is a bipartisan issue not a Conservative or Liberal issue BUT AN AMERICAN issue.
I would die defending the right of homosexuals to believe what they want. But the homosexual minority of 1.5% does not have the right to dictate their beliefs to the other 98.5% of the American population.
Exactly. Protect the life and property rights of the smallest minority -- the individual -- and all minorities and the majority is protected.
A valid individual right cannot obligate another person to act. Nor can a valid individual right take from another person their life or property by initiation of force. Ostracize bad behaviors/acts that don't initiate force against anyone and let those persons ostracized chose their own path. To initiate force is to cause oppression at the expense of freedom and thus creates enemies.
Voting for the lesser of evils still always begets evil. Lay down with dogs, wake up with fleas. I have a "great" idea. Two people in love: lets have those noble, honest politicians in congress acknowledge our magnificent love for each other by writing laws that effect and define marriage.
