Email | June 17,2007 | The Hunter Family

Posted on 06/17/2007 11:06:39 AM PDT by rob21

This is an email that I got from info@gohunter08.com. I asked them if it was ok to post this here, and they approved:

Dear Rob21, We wanted to say thank you for all your time spent working on posts for Duncan on Free Republic. It's grassroots Americans like yourself that are making a huge difference in this race. We appreciate your efforts and we hope you can continue to write about Duncan. We will keep you in our prayers as you leave for Iraq this July. Thanks again for everything! Sincerely, The Hunter Family

Thanks for what you’ve done, and what you’re about to do in July.

Hunter is my first choice also. I’ve sent him some $$$ and talk him up to anyone who will listen.

My big gripe is that the MSM won’t let him be heard. In the debates he could barely get a word in edgewise. They constantly called on McCain, Romney, Guiliani. I know, they were the first tier, but I wanted to hear Hunter and the others.

Lets keep up the drumbeat for him!

Well, I’m not serving my country just yet, but your welcome in advance.

We salute you for what your doing for your Country...God Bless!

I’ve sent some support to Hunter, Tancredo, Romney, and will probably do the same for (F)Thompson....I too don’t much like the idea of McCain or Guliani, although I think that any combo of Hillary/Obama/Edwards is far worse.

May I please refer you all to my post #15? Thank you. :)

Thank you, Pete, for your faithful support of Duncan Hunter.

Pete, Rep. Hunter was live on Wolf Blitzer’s show this morning, and he did us proud voicing his condemnation of Bush’s amnesty bill we’ve all been protesting so strongly. Though Blitzer sent in his occasional fire crackers in attempt to throw Rep. Hunter off course, our man did not flinch, but graciously and succinctly stayed focused on his subject at hand. The man is positively incredible! He is gaining momentum with every step on his
campaign trail. And the Good God willing, and our financial help, he will soon find himself in the top tier.

I sent the following email to info@gohunter08.com:

“I know that Duncan Hunter has a busy campaign schedule, but a lot of FReepers are wondering if he would be willing to guest post on Free Republic. Do you think that he would be willing to do this?”

I got this reply:

“yea, definitely. I will tell him about it.”

I guess that means that we will be seeing Duncan Hunter himself on here soon!

Funny that you should post that list of Presidential nominees. I was explaining to a friend that these are the three, in this exact order, that I hope would make it to the convention to be nominated.

I will support any of these three. I do not have a religious test, but rather a conservative test. None are perfect but I can work for these three.

Sorry, McCain and Guiliani. You both have lots of potential, but I would rather vote FOR a candidate I like, rather than AGAINST the Democrat candidate.

It really is for the good of my children.

My son did his boot camp at Benning in July also.

The only suggestion I pass on from his experience - start doing endless push-ups and sit ups til it hurts- and be able to run a minimum of 5 miles. It will make a huge difference in your adjustment to boot camp..

Thank you for your service!

Mr Hunter, you are the real deal and you are well heard.

Write and deliver a Reagan equal (in your own words)
speech of “ A Time For Choosing”

America is not socialist, marxist, Stalinist, a dictatorship,or a monorachy. Tell em why.

Yeah I’m going to send another donation, but will you help me with something? I don’t care anything about politics, only about my country, and don’t understand what happens on June 30th. Why are donations so important before that date?

Just another indication that while mainstream media (and even conservative radio and bloggers) tend to so often disregard FR, it has a huge impact.

Among the earliest with the most, and right at the core.

That’s when all of the campaigns have to file reports with the FEC. Basically, if he can show that he’s raised a lot of money by that date it makes him look like a more serious contender to people who don’t already know.

I never heard of Duncan Hunter.

Is he some local guy of yours?

Running for city treasurer or sanitation manager or something?

Nah, just me.

I wish him luck and I'm sure he'll make a jam-up city treasurer or whatever.

County Clerk is pretty rough, though.. I hope he stays away from that. ;-)
