My son did his boot camp at Benning in July also.
The only suggestion I pass on from his experience - start doing endless push-ups and sit ups til it hurts- and be able to run a minimum of 5 miles. It will make a huge difference in your adjustment to boot camp..
Thank you for your service!

Oh my Benning in July. Yikes I hope you like it hot and HUMID!!! Does everybody know what poison ivy looks like and why we shouldn't substitute it for toilet paper?
The five mile thing is good advice. Try to do it with 35 pounds of gear as a starter - if you do it now it will make it all easier. In all sincerity, Rob thank you for your service and SE Mom please tell your son thanks also. Hooray!
