Email | June 17,2007 | The Hunter Family

Posted on 06/17/2007 11:06:39 AM PDT by rob21

This is an email that I got from info@gohunter08.com. I asked them if it was ok to post this here, and they approved:

Dear Rob21, We wanted to say thank you for all your time spent working on posts for Duncan on Free Republic. It's grassroots Americans like yourself that are making a huge difference in this race. We appreciate your efforts and we hope you can continue to write about Duncan. We will keep you in our prayers as you leave for Iraq this July. Thanks again for everything! Sincerely, The Hunter Family

I’m trying very hard to not kill the Republicans. If we split, come election time, we’ll be in worse danger than we are now.

The Kennedy Wing of the Republican party are the ones who split us when they chose to embrace liberalism over conservatism. Hopefully enough republicans are smart enough to vote for Hunter, otherwise the party will be destroyed with a liberal nominee.

C’mon guys, don’t feed the trolls. Folks should have their say on FR with out getting nasty. A lot of good folks have left FR because of all the fanatical snits.

I've been here three years longer than you and I'm a troll?

Sleeper trolls have been seen before. Some liberal scumbag registers and just cruises along below the radar until they see what they think ('think' being a subjective term, since you don't have many neurons to rub together) is a window of opportunity to bash a true conservative Republican candidate, or trash true conservative principles.

Your kind has been seen before, most recently as they flew into the famous FR Bug Zapper.

Your puerile comments regarding Duncan Hunter reveal the shallowness of your intellect.

By all means, humiliate yourself further by your antics.

A lot of good folks have left FR because of all the fanatical snits.

Don't kid yourself. Those 'good folks' were mostly RINO scumbags and RudyBots who couldn't stand the fact that they couldn't subvert and steer this *conservative website* into a more liberal direction while drumming out TRUE conservatives who would never vote for Giuliani in a million years.

The liberal scum who scream victimhood (usually as they Opus out of here) never hesitate to trash true conservatives, including our late President Ronald Reagan, but say one critical word about their faux-Republican presidential wannabes and they start condemning the 'mean spiritedness' and all of that claptrap.

In the now-famous FR Bug Zapper thread, the REAL conservatives, led by one Jim Robinson, finally said enough is enough, and the liberal trolls, moles, zombies, misfits and their RINO-sympathizers couldn't handle the heat and they melted down in a pile of liberal rhetorical slag.

They're gone now, and for the most part a universal "good riddance" was heard from one end of FR to the other.

What is your point? This is the primaries. Why should Republicans not back their man of choice? Why would you lie #1 by saying you have never heard of Hunter and ridicule those who do like the guy. From what I have read and seen in the debates Hunter is an honorable man with conservative principals.

I guess I don't know what you hope to accomplish? Do you think you can shame people into not voting for their man in the primaries? The problem with the Republican Party these days is that they are using liberal tactics to persuade, humiliate,and insult their own voters in order to get a moderate/liberal elected and to pass amnesty. Weird to say the least but I have already decided not to vote straight ticket anymore because of this and may skip[ the Presidential box altogether depending on who gets the nod.

By the way I live in Texas and have watched 2 of the 3 debates and have been impressed with Hunter. You on the other hand are lying about not knowing who Hunter is or you haven't watched one of the debates. Which is it?

What an honor for you, rob21, and I thank you, too, for supporting the best candidate to lead our country in a long time.

God bless!

This guy, humbergummer, is just a lonely guy trying to get someone to pay attention to him. Very sad. The less he is responded to the better.

I’ve read about the Saami in the past. Being an Indian, I have always been interested in other ethnic groups like the Saami and the Aboriginals of Australia. I study the Shamanistic cultures and find them quite alike in many ways. The Inu of the N. Japanese Islands worked through the bear and had a lot of similarities with my small tribe on the N.W. Coast of California. Even the word Shaman comes from a tribe in Siberia. I particularly like the Eskimo culture and make ivory and soapstone carvings like theirs. Aloha FH

Gunner is anything but a “lonely guy trying to get someone to pay attention to him”. He’s a SOLID Conservative who is very active in the Conservative movement.

He was a personal friend to TexasCowboy, Flyer and Dix before they passed. I happen to think very highly of him, and find it rude and unacceptable for your group to call him a troll. Also, it’s against FR rules for you to do so.

What I see Trussell are some people saying if he can pull up , they might vote for him. I would prefer supporters that help DH raise his numbers but I can understand people waiting to see what may happen too. It’s positive, really because as Duncan Hunter gets more recognition, more people will probably decide to vote for him.

There is still time to make up minds on who to support...I’m not decided yet, I want to see more of what they support, how they feel about certain issues etc. It does us no good to turn on others here and start calling them names. You know that gunner is not a troll...having “so called” conservatives calling him that is wrong!

They better read up on the rules here if they don’t want to have problems...it clearly states in the rules that this is unacceptable.

Some reasons why I like Duncan Hunter:

1) STRONGLY pro-life - a 26 year pro-life history NO FLIP FLOP HERE;

2) the only politican that was EFFECTIVE on building a fence at a strategic place on our borders (which made crime go down tremendously in San Diego);
AND it was his bill that was passed and signed into law to build a 854 mile fence (which the Dems and RINOs won’t build).

3) knows his defense: AMONG OTHER THINGS was Chairman of the Armed Services Committee when the Republicans had the majority, fought hard for the missle defense shield, and personally, won a medal in Viet Nam & his son did two tours in Iraq, including Fallujah, and will do a 3rd tour in Afghanistan (so he has a lot a stake);

4) understands the Red China threat and China’s trade imbalance through cheating;

5) voted for traditional marriage between a man and a woman through HJ Res 88

6) A+ rating from the National Rifle Association;

7) 100% rating from the Eagle Forum.

(8) 92% rating from the American Conservative Union;

(9)100% from the Concerned Women for America;

(10) 100% from the Christian Coalition;

(11) 100% from the Campaign for Working Families
