Bernard Goldberg: Duke Case Fit "Liberal Template"

Fox News interview with Bernie, who rightfully condemns the liberal media, the "Duke 88", feminists and Nifong for basically all conspiring to put the Duke lacrosse players behind bars. His point: this case went as far as it did because it was a perfect template -- rich white boys raping a poor black girl, from the South, no less. An open-and-closed case, if there ever was one, in the liberal mindset.

When will charges be filed against the woman who made the false accusation?

I saw this interview when it was originally broadcast. Bernie didn’t hold back with this one and put the blame squarley where it belonged...liberal, political bigotry and racism. That said, Nifong should be put in stocks on the courthouse square where folks can throw rotten tomatoes at him.

Goldberg has it totally right. However what I found to be the ultimate in hypocrisy was the 88 Duke faculty members automatically finding the three accused students guilty before any trial. These self righteous liberals, who are supposed to be the paragon of tolerance, fairness and diversity, did a hatchet job on these students that would have made Joe McCarthy proud.

Don't forget Malik Zulu Shabaz and his, "New Black Panther Party". They hung around the case until it became obvious it was failing. It was one of those thugs who said, " "You're a dead man walking!"" to Reed Seligmann on his entering the court. This is a sample of the black race pimp mindset.

“88 Duke faculty members”
I hope the players go after every one of them and leave them with nothing.

Nifong should be put in stocks on the courthouse square where folks can throw rotten tomatoes at him.I think lacrosse balls would be more appropriate.

... the liberal mindset. The really sad thing is that the liberals fancy themselves as the ones who are open, without mindset.

a hatchet job ... that would have made Joe McCarthy proud. It bears repeating. Because McCarthy was a Republican, and because he went after the darlings of the left, they love to portray "McCarthyism" as an exclusive domaine of Republicans. In fact, their form of political name-calling is McCarthyism in its worst, most vitriolic form.

Bernie is one of the top 10 people that I would love to have lunch with. He is/was a liberal but has now come to his senses and admits at just how radical the former mainstream media is. Bernie is a person hero of mine and he should be applauded. I just ordered his book.
