I’m sorry, not my country. I meant DC. DC is an open oozing sore of a place. It’s pathetic with respect to the absolute lack of sacrifice on the part of 99% of the dissent with respect to Iraq and strategy to try and stop consolidation of Islamic Caliphate centered fundamentalism.
Also it’s sad we have all these resources and we can’t entice the greatest minds into public service. Did you see the guy we have as ambassador to Iraq. Nice enough but classic civil service. I am sure China entices it’s best minds and, more ominously, the best minds outside it’s borders (as the USA did when it developed in secret the nuclear bomb) to run it’s country.
We are going to get killed one day, economically or militarily, but it’ll be like a bolt from the blue.

I just noticed that Joe Biden does not pronounce the b in problem. It comes out as prahlum. Deviated septum... or nose-candy.

Don't be surprised if very soon the Dems begin to attack the good General's character much like they did GWB in 2001. For instance, look for leaks that tie Patraeus to any number of manufactured scandals. They will do this so they can question the veracity of his public statements.
I will be interested to see if our professional conservative politicians remain on the sideline as they did in 2001 and 2002 during the "Bush knew", "Bush lied" nonsense or will they come to the defense of this fine man.

Lindsey professes to believe that what he is doing on immigration is “leading.”
Says we won’t be a viable party if we can’t get the hispanic vote. This disgusts me as a reason for being for this bill.
Then he likens it to those who said “no Catholics, no Jews.” There he goes again.

A few other observations from two other shows:
I watched the tail end of Schieffer’s show (Hate the Nation) and caught his closing remarks. His attention was on the need for a third party entering the 08 election because he states how the two parties simply cannot work together and something needs to be done about that. Of course, his commentary was completely disengenous...he knows full well the ONLY way a democrat can get elected President is with a Third Party interruption to split the republican vote, its how we got Jimmy Carter and its how we got Clinton. Bob Schieffer is a false reporter with not an ounce of truth in his commentary — it is only agenda based.
I’m watching Woffie’s show and am quite alarmed about the disproportionate amount of time he is giving Reed and Cornyn. He is constantly interrupting Cornyn and giving Reed the last word on anything/everything. He is blaming the entire middle east situation on Bush and ignoring the years, and years, and years and decades of distress in the mid-east. Woffie is useless as a “journalist”; the agenda’s of these shows is so see-through and its pretty darn disgusting.

I’m watching Lindsey’s echoing Trent Lott’s criticism of Talk Radio. Saying the immigration solution shouldn't’t be left up to talk radio. These RINO’s don’t get it. Listeners of talk radio know what’s going on. They know the immigration bill is a BAD bill. I bet RUSH will have a complitation of talk radio critics on Monday’s show.

You have to wonder what they put in the water in DC. Use to be the rule was “Never get in an argument with people who buy ink by the barrel”. Now days it should be, “Never pick a fight with people who own a radio microphone”.

What ever happened to that report last year that Hunt had signed on as a military adviser with Hillary.
Did FR ever confirm that?

"Today, female cadets still face challenges beyond that of their male counterparts, a recent study suggests. According to the 2006 Service Academy Gender Relations Survey, 10.5 percent of female students reported having been exposed to unwanted sexual contact, which can include rape and attempted rape. Sixty percent reported experiencing some type of sexual harassment at West Point, and 89 percent said they experienced sexist behavior. Those levels are slightly above those of the U.S. Naval and Air Force academies."
The MSM just can't hide their political agenda, no matter what the story. I wonder how much sexual harassment is experienced by females at regular universities. What a bunch of crap.

Wasn't it nice of Steffie to let Gramnesty to get all his absurd immigration bill talking points in without challenging him at all?!? Even Russert would have made a half hearted attempt at playing devil's advocate.
This version of This Week is a disgrace as a serious news show.
