Duke Lacrosse Prosecutor Disbarred
District Attorney Mike Nifong will be disbarred for his disastrous prosecution of three Duke University lacrosse players falsely accused of rape, a disciplinary committee decided Saturday.

Mike Nifong has qualified himself to run for political office in the democrat party. They said he lied, he went after the rich, he played the race game. What more does he need to run on the liberal ticket. And when the truth is thrown smack in his face, he will find an excuse.

Every once in a long, long while something decent happens. Nifong behaved like a 16th century inquisitor and deserves his fate. Good riddens.

They way things are going with the immigration bill I think that he’s qualified for the Senate or the Presidency.

Now sue his pants off. Sue him for every penny he has and will ever have.

He may arrange that. In fact, he could run on the Edwards ticket and get haircuts provided.

He’s well qualified now. But, he must take care of himself. When the decision was read today, his face got a beet red. I was afraid he would have a stroke or heart attack. He must stay well so he can pay for his dastardly deeds.

Why isn’t this SOB going to jail? That’s where he was trying to place these kids he knew were innocent.

I think true justice would be that this Nifong serves the sentence the boys would have served if he had gotten away with it. Same should happen with the stripper.

Now sue his pants off. Sue him for every penny he has and will ever have...and while they're at it, go after President Broadhead and those sleazy 80 professors from Duke who slandered and libeled the three lacross players who they knew just had to be guilty because they represented privileged white society.....
To: wearearepublic
Now sue his pants off.Indeed so. For a while I was really feeling sorry these guys as victims. But after seeing the great testimony yesterday I'd trade all that humiliation for that book deal about to happen!
They could deservedly get rich a lot quicker...

The irony is that, because he won’t be able to practice law, they won’t be able to get as much from him. It would have been to the benefit of the players if he’d been able to keep his license so that they could get big $$$ from his future earnings.

Come to find out, it was much more serious than mere humiliation. They were threatened by Black Panthers.
By sheer coincidence last night, I was going through some papers I had saved and found a political cartoon (I believe the cartoonist was Kevin Siers - hard to read his handwriting) from the Charlotte Observer. My paper was dated April 26, 2006 and this damning cartoon is entitled Gothic. My printer isn't working so I can't post it here and the Charlotte Observer won't let me bring it up, but maybe somebody else can find and post it.

And get a load of this hypocritical, self-justifying statement from Duke President Broadhead on Nifong's disbarment - and not a word about his and his faculty's ill-treatment of the men involved -
Link to Duke Webpage - "deeply unfair to the young men involved" - revolting......
To: blam
I’m curious now if the three guys under suspicion will sue Nifong in civil court. It would seem like that Duke has gone out of its way to fix or correct anything they could...except the 80-odd dimwits on the staff who signed that petition. That is the only big matter I see left to clean up.
