Israel will not stand idly by and allow Fatah to slaughter Hamas members in the West Bank like Hamas did to Fatah last week in the Gaza Strip, a high-ranking defense official said Saturday.
According to the official, Fatah was in the process of taking over Hamas installations and buildings throughout the West Bank in retaliation to Hamas's violent takeover last week of the Gaza Strip. In the meantime, the IDF said that the situation in the West Bank was relatively calm.

Exactly. Israel helping Hamas is the kiss of death for that bunch. Should they win, they will eventually have to fight the next movement that says Hamas fought with the Jews.
If fatah wins they will eventually attack Israel and be destroyed.
Music to my Warmongering ears.

When he learns not to type in all-caps like a teenager I'll take him seriously.
How stupid.
“Barak, who is expected to become defence minister tomorrow, has already demanded detailed plans to deploy two armoured divisions and an infantry division, accompanied by assault drones and F-16 jets, against Hamas.”
I also posted it but a little late. ...will have the moderator remove mine.

Who cares how he types.....
As I said, Drudge doesn’t write the news, he just posts links and he happens to be quicker with current events than anyone else on the web.....
Drudge is the first place I go when I log on to the web and I check him about 3-4 times a day....

Hello?
Your complaining doesn’t make sense.
Seems to be a different story Gaza.... Israel plans attack on Gaza
"ISRAELs new defence minister Ehud Barak is planning an attack on Gaza within weeks to crush the Hamas militants who have seized power there. According to senior Israeli military sources, the plan calls for 20,000 troops to destroy much of Hamass military capability in days."
Israel to defend Hamas in West Bank?

Actually, what he said was about not letting the situation in the West Bank become chaotic like it is in Gaza. He didn’t say anything about protecting Hamas.
It’s a good strategy, really. It is far better if your enemies blow up one at a time, rather than both together.
That is, if the West Bank manages to remain relatively orderly, while Gaza descends into bloody chaos and anarchy, then Israel can focus on Gaza without worrying too much about a two-front (or three or four front, if you include Lebanon and Syria) opening up.
The bottom line is that Fatah is just as villainous as is Hamas, only giving lip service to peace. So if they end up permanently divided, then Israel wins.
Hopefully, Hamas will be as onerous and vicious to the people of Gaza as was the Taliban to the Afghans. May it be the law of the gun, the rule of whim and cruelty, insanity and viciousness. And may every sane Gazan flee to Egypt to get away from it, and stay there.
The final result may be that the only people left in Gaza are banditos, fighting among themselves over scraps.

no reason for that.....I just chased the broken link that someone else referenced on drudge....the piece warrants a thread.....
My post was a duplicate. The other one is still up.

I misunderstood......gotta watch out for those postingnannies tho, LOL
Very true. The actual title of the article is "Israel Will Not Stand Idly By," but the threadmeister invented his own for some reason.
Spot-on analysis, btw.
Only folks who write proper English.

Lots of folks willing to tolerate childish writing, I suppose.

Do you have a little shrine set up?
Ping.
No shrine....just want the news thats breaking.
It is amazing though....most of the MSM monitors his site too.
I’ll let you have the last word.
I’m done
;-)
OK:
It hurts my eyes to read all those caps.
I'm done, too.
Because it serves Israel’s interest to have two mini-Palestinian entities at emnity with each other. If Hamas has Gaza and Fatah the Cisjordan, and they are fighting each other, they have fewer resources to fight Israel, aside from the occasional Qassam. Israel only wishes it could have made the South Lebanon Army strong enough to pin down Hezbollah in Lebanon. This is sound strategy by the Israelis.
Coalition will lose power to the right wing parties. So there will not be a new government in Israel until 2010 if it even survives that long. If things get really bad I think it would get to the point where the military would just ignore the civilian government and do what is needed.
