Los Angeles, CA -Talk Radio Network-FM announces the addition of The Phil Hendrie Show, premiering June 25, 2007. The new overnight show is scheduled to be live 10:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. PST weeknights. Mark Masters, CEO of TRN-FM, welcomes the new show stating, "With the new Phil Hendrie Show, live overnights will never be the same again, like the smash hit "South Park" Phil is a master of satire and always delivers a pay off, which brings perspective on important issues of the day. Phil Hendrie has a unique skill of using absurdity to backlight absurdity. He truly is a genius at his art form."

"There's an enormous talk radio audience at night that not only wants the news and information, they want the explanation. I'm a monologist, a story-teller, a satirist and an interviewer. All of that will be put to use a thousand percent. Our show is that radio show millions of people have been scanning the dial at night looking for. June 25th, we arrive."

Adds Masters, "With the most contentious political Presidential election cycle in history literally on our doorstep, combined with all of the ongoing issues involving terrorism and the war in the Middle East, all talk stations nationwide will need a live overnight show that will be able to maneuver in and around this complicated landscape, someone with enormous range, someone who can entertain listeners but also inform them, someone who can help navigate his audience through big breaking news stories of the day, as they occur, yet do it all in an entertaining and compelling way that brings great perspective to issues - Phil Hendrie is the perfect man for that mission."

Phil got his start in radio as a DJ and began his career in talk radio in 1990. The first Phil Hendrie Show was a comedy talk radio program that became renowned for its unique and controversial guests, who were actually fictional characters created and voiced by Hendrie himself. The show became nationally syndicated in 1996 and was heard on over 100 stations around the country.

Phil Hendrie has performed voices on the animated FOX sitcoms King of the Hill and Futurama, and in Team America: World Police. In 2006, Phil starred in the NBC sitcom Teachers. He recently starred in the FOX/CBS pilot The Giants of Radio.

He doesn't impersonate callers, he impersonates guests to lure gullible but real callers.

A distinction without a difference except to prove, in his own mind, that he is the smartest person in the room.. Don’t get me wrong, he has talent, and I HAVE laughed at his bits. But how much better he would be if he got saved, and realized that his talents are a gift from God, not a stick to beat up the lesser man.

Ha. You got confused. Because of that, it’s a “distinction without a difference.”

R.C. Collins.

My fave guest is Lloyd Bonafide, the Korean war veteran.

I also enjoy Jay Santos, the Citizens Auxiliary Police member...he like to do "flare drops", stop cars and check to see if people are doing drugs...LOL.

Citizens Auxiliary Police...

LMAO... they wanted to give random mouth-swabbings to test the local populace for anthrax exposure.

Nothing will top Ted Bell. He’s one of Phil’s frequent “callers” who owns a restaurant. If he thinks a customer didn’t tip enough he follows them home.

Here’s some clips;

If anyone does get through to his show, ask him if Bud Dickman is still on work release.

He’s great! He fooled my wife once and she called his show, only then she found out it was a fake personality. She laughs about it now. We missed him.

Phil Hendrie a Bush Basher?

Hendrie admires the steadfastness of President Bush and respects him about as much as is possible for a left winger like himself to do so.

Of course he’s conceited, but he knows he is, and the guy is hilarious.

Excellent! I’ve missed him and his cast of characters.

He’s done some of the best rants ever (totally ad-libbed), supporting the fight against Islamofascists.

PH appeals to the same type of people who watch Jerry Springer.

Great news. Phil’s voices are pure genius and make worthwhile listening, carrying what is generally uninspired writing.

Oh yes!!! So many characters!!! And the women characters, too. The first time I ever heard Phil, having no idea about his program, he had a cranky elderly female caller (Phil, of course) who had difficulty hanging the phone up in the cradle and who kept butting back in. It was riveting.

I’m with you. I didn’t care for Hendrie and found his schtick spectacularly unfunny. Not to say that he isn’t talented — he is, but his talents probably belong in voiceovers for cartoons, commercials or the like.

Oh no! I’m sorry I missed that one!! My two favorites are the “Gay man and a Gay journalist” and especially Bobbie Dooley, President of the Western Homeowners Assn!!! (Uh huh, uh huh, uh huh)
