Yesterday I received a mass email from RNC Chairman Mike Duncan ripping Harry Reid for his latest attacks on our military leaders. What follows is my reply, which I cc'd to the White House and the offices of John McCain, Trent Lott, Lindsey Graham and the perpetually tearful George Voinovich ...
"Mr. Duncan: The attacks on conservatives by President Bush, Senator Graham, Senator McCain and Senator Lott regarding the immigration issue are just as egregious as Harry Reid's treasonous slurs about our great military.
"And even more disheartening is that my senator, Mr. Voinovich, supports the Bush/Kennedy amnesty monstrosity. (Given that the only reason Mr. Voinovich originally ran as a Republican in Cleveland is because the line was shorter, this is hardly surprising.)
"I'm a lifelong Republican voter, so it pains me to tell you that I'm quitting the GOP. Only when Republican officeholders show the same respect to American citizens and conservative voters that they show to illegal aliens will I return to the GOP fold. Please remove me from your email list."
Good luck with that. Once you're on the list, you're on the list. :)
Haa! Great suggestion! I know we have some bits of foreign coins and I think some of the Taiwan coins are almost as valuable!
The Mexicans and South Americans are the most vocal but also there are LOTS of Asians who are anxiously awaiting the bill’s passage. Checked out all the nail salons? They are staffed not with Hispanics as they used to be but Vietnamese/Chinese/Taiwanese who have come over at their family’s invitations. Plus, I have heard that a LARGE Korean faction fly their wives over to have babies on our soil so they have a connection when/if Kim Jong happens to attack. It’ll be just like Lebanon- we’ll have to send tons of ships over to rescue “American” citizens. We might as well begin building hundreds of ships to keep the world over to rescue these “Americans” who are only “Americans” when they are in danger.
Thank you Jorge and Congress. Your checks will come monthly to support you nicely.
>>The GOP isnt the party I first started working with when I was 17 years old eager to turn 18.... so... I could vote for President Ronald Reagan in 1980.<<
You said a mouthful. The first time I was elgible to vote, I PROUDLY voted for Ronald Reagan, in 1984. And I sang his praises to my college peers.
Then I voted for George Bush, both in 1988 and 1982, still heady that the Republican party was where it’s at!
Then I voted for Bob Dole.
And now this.
Do I need to draw a chart, or do you get the picture?
Stay mad and stay focused - I fax, call and e-mail every day those who are playing this game only immigration bill...why is it Ted Kennedy is to be obeyed and not the citizens of America....get mad and get behind those few stalwart Senators who are trying to do the right the right thing. Cut and run????? I don't think so..............
I READ IT, LIKED IT,& AGREE!
DISAPPOINTED IN STATEN ISLAND, NY!!
You do not need to be a Republican to fight. And I feel like I am having a sissy fight with emails and phone calls.
Good job!!
>>Cut and run????? I don’t think so..............<<
Who said anything about cut-and-run? My divorce from the GOP merely means no more donations or voluteer efforts for any Republican organization. To paraphrase Limbaugh when he expressed a similar sentiment after last November’s election, I will no longer carry water for any RINOs.
Would you have given the same advice to Ronald Reagan when he left the Democratic Party?
Good tagline!
I agree with you. Much as I would like to leave the Republican party, where would I go? Our greatest hope is to get rid of the RINO’s in the primaries, in my state (KY), I can’t vote in the primaries if I am registered as an Independent. I don’t think people realize that we hold much more power in the primaries than the general. Since only 15 - 25% of voters actually vote in a primary, it is much easier to organize against the RINO’s. I still contribute to the GOP, but I do it directly to the candidate of my choice. No more does my money go to support the likes of Specter or McCain.
Salute!
“As I write, the wife is in the dooryard...”
You must be in Maine. I live in Downeast and that is the only place I have ever heard “dooryard”. I asked a guy what it meant and he said that you open the door and there is the yard. Dooryard.
I agree..........as they said when i was in the navy...don’t get pissed, re-enlist....can’t change it if ya ain’t there...politicians only fear one word...RECALL...
Although I agree with what you are saying it is almost impossible to be assured they will do what they say. My head hurts from the banging I continue to do. I am just about ready to give up because it seems both parties are the same and no third party has a chance.
My advice is to cut back to 50mg.
Ouch! It wouldn't hurt, if it weren't true.
Right!
Simple enough so that even a guy "from away" can understand it.
;O)
Nor do I. I got the pesos at the Wal-Mart bank (IBC) in Del Rio.
