Quote of the Day:
President Bush: (speaking to military members, their families and employees of Boeing who build Air Force One)I can't tell you what an honor it is to fly overseas in Air Force One and have that big bird park, have people around the world see the great majesty of our country reflected in this airplane.
And I know many of you are working hard to outfit its companion. I appreciate your hard work. I will assure you one thing -- I will ride that airplane with great pride. I mean, there's nothing better than representing the greatest nation on the face of the Earth.
I ask for God's blessings on your families and on our country. Thank you very much. (Applause.)
Photo of the Day:

Thank God for the only thread you can go to and stay away for the immigration crazies. I am so sick of them turning every thread into a Bush bashing over immigration. Free Republic is now no better then Democratic Underground.

Have you heard about that huge gathering in S. TN this weekend? My grandson, granddaughter and their friends are up there in that crowd. No thank. I do not care to be around 100,000 people as hot as it has been down here.

Isn’t that the truth? I have not been reading very many threads. Frankly, I had rather be doing my genealogy stuff. I have gotten back to the middle ages and I just can not understand how they lived back then. Some of the ancestors were beheaded, some were put in dungeons and 2 of my late husband’s ancestors died from the Black Plague. It seems that nothing has changed. It took the officials 3 weeks to decide that was what killed them. Guess the government was the same, although whole towns were wiped out back then.
