Quote of the Day:

President Bush: (speaking to military members, their families and employees of Boeing who build Air Force One)

I can't tell you what an honor it is to fly overseas in Air Force One and have that big bird park, have people around the world see the great majesty of our country reflected in this airplane.

And I know many of you are working hard to outfit its companion. I appreciate your hard work. I will assure you one thing -- I will ride that airplane with great pride. I mean, there's nothing better than representing the greatest nation on the face of the Earth.

… I ask for God's blessings on your families and on our country. Thank you very much. (Applause.)

Have you heard about that huge gathering in S. TN this weekend? My grandson, granddaughter and their friends are up there in that crowd. No thank. I do not care to be around 100,000 people as hot as it has been down here.

President Bush visits the Boys and Girls Club of South Central Kansas in Wichita, Kan., Friday, June 15, 2007.

President Bush: I have come to this fantastic facility to, first of all, thank the people that have supported the programs that exist here. I like the idea of mentors reaching out to children to set good examples and to encourage them to achieve big goals in life. And that's what happens here in this Boys and Girls Club in Wichita. This is a place where dreams are fostered, skills are given so that people can realize their dreams.

This is a community based program -- it gets some help from the government, but it gets a lot of help from the local community. And I think it's very important for the people of Wichita to support a program such as this -- after all, we can change our country one heart and one soul at a time. And I'm really pleased to be here. It's a beautiful facility full of beautiful people.
