Washington, D.C. The U.S. House of Representatives this morning voted to withhold federal emergency services funding for "sanctuary cities" that protect illegal immigrants.
Anti-immmigration champion Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colo., sponsored the measure, which he says would apply to cities such as Denver and Boulder. He was elated by its passage, which stunned critics and supporters alike.

That thread is charming. One of the provisions of the immigration bill is it needs to be carried in a plastic bag.

In before the bots wow us with anti-Tancredo rhetoric? Conservatism 1, faux-conservatism 0. Hunters fence and Ron Pauls anchor baby fix next please! <<
>>
The House passed the amendment, 234 to 189, with 50 Democrats voting in favor. <<
>>
Cool, my new congressman voted the right way. <<
Nah, can't be. The open-borders Tancredo hating RINOs have already explained that "everyone" who ran an contested campaign focused on anti-illegal alien rhetoric was defeated last year. The House has now been clensed of the "extremists". Heath Shuler, Brian Bilbary, Peter Roskam, Tim Walberg, Vern Buchanan, Doug Lamborn, all those guys must have been elected on alien-hugging platforms. We all know the Tancredo-bashers wouldn't lie about that kinda stuff.
I kinda miss having that little liberal disruptor BayouRINO on here, who would probably he posting his usual rants about "the antis" and claiming Tancredo will join a "third party" any day now.

Thanks, Tanc!
At the very least, this gives the troops an incentive to keep on fighting.
To: Perchant
Now it would be nice if Tancredo would introduce a bill to take away the Tax Exempt Status from all Churches of any Religion within the State if any church within the denomination declares itself a “Sanctuary” in spite of our Federal Laws. Churches need to give to Caesar what is Caesars or lose some of what it theirs.

They passed it because if they have their way all the illegals will soon be legal.
We lose.

Cool. Where are you getting the vote totals from? I’d like to see how freshmen members of Congress voted on this one. Let’s see once and for all how many of the new Congresscritters are tough on illegals.

I believe the Congressman is making major headway by sticking to his guns, and talking common sense, every chance that he gets.
This may only be a small victory; but any victory right now, for our side, is tremendously significant. The tide may really be starting to turn; but we have a long, long way to go.
He's gone from being the lone voice against illegal immigration and being told not to darken the WH door - to being a presidential candidate and having this bill passed. He's relentlessly representing US! Bless him for having the courage other so-called representatives can't find.

Congratulations to all citizens on the correct side of this amnesty bill. Keep beating the drum and sounding the horn of opinion. Let it be known to our lawmakers in Washington that they are still responsible TO us, even after they are elected. WE TRUE AMERICANS WILL NOT GO QUIETLY INTO THE NIGHT!!!

Thank you. If nothing else, the RNC should be getting the message that even they have to answer to someone.
And keeping TT in the race won’t let the GOP sweep this under the rug.

Ive been saying lately that Mexico has two presidents. The President of Mexico, and Mexicos President. If you get my meaning.
Yup. And Bush is busy representing his Mexican constituents (and ignoring the American ones).
