Bush had it right on the war and the economy and on abortion. You want perfection? Not in this life. If I get 75% good and 25% bad, it's a pretty good day,You realize that none of those other things will matter if this amnesty goes through.
Think back to Yugoslavia in the 1990s and ask yourself if you think they were worried about the economy, abortion or some far flung police action. The balkanization of this country trumps everything else as our nation will cease to exist as we know it.

Interesting. Are you thinking it’s in preparation for a middle eastern cutoff? Is something coming down the pike and they expect the oil to dry up?

The number of brand-new cars and SUVs these people have is astonishing. Most of these families have 2 and three cars. Thank you very much - same here, although some days it's hard to tell who is returning home to Mexico and who is here staying. But the point is, while I have seen the poverty in Mexico first-hand, I also see the riches - the thousands of dollars the shoppers in front of me spend at Macy's, the special boutiques being built and advertised for "Mexican shoppers" (Louis Vuitton, Tiffany, etc.). Most ordinary Tucsonans don't/can't shop there.
I wish that these thousands upon thousands of well-to-do fix their own country and I wish the politicians would stop acting like the whole country of Mexico is so "vulnerable and exploited." Who is exploiting whom, and where did all that money for the fancy cars, jewelry, and clothes come from?

This is a Bush family desease, they always manage to screw it up and side with the snake party towards the end of thier term. They haven’t learned the lesson. KEEP UP THE HEAT, WE’RE GETTING IT FROM ALL SIDES, DOUBLE YOUR EFFORTS,
CLOSE THE BORDERS
ENFORCE THEM FULLY
BUILD THE ENTIRE FENCE
THEN WE WILL TALK!

That fact alone is enough to teach everyone NEVER TO VOTE FOR THE LESSER OF TWO EVILS AGAIN. AMEN AMEN AMEN!
This was a mistake in hindsight. No more voting for the "he's terrible but the other guy is so much worse" candidate for me!
Looking back, we stopped voting our principles and started voting to beat the other side and that taught the GOP the lesson that they could offer up worse and worse candidates that we were sure to vote for.
No more voting for the lesser evil for me. I either vote my values and principles or I don't vote.
That's the only way the Party is going to learn what kind of candidates they need to offer us. THe current crop is a case in point. THe only ones who are even close to conservative are at the bottom and get next to no GOP backing.
I Hillary! wins then the GOP will eventually (decades down the line I'm sure) learn that they need to offer us good/great candidates.

Yep. That is exactly where this whole thing is heading. Al Qaida also admits to already possessing nukes, as well. When our cities start going up in a blinding flash because our borders have never been secured, we'll have Billy-boy and Lil' Jorge to thank. If he thinks his base is PO'd now, how does he think we'll react when that happens? Our government is so obviously incompetent, that I think eventual nuclear terrorism is now almost a certainty. Thanks George! Thanks Bill! You were really on top of this terror thing weren't you?

Well, think about it. Iran is on the march and there is not one Sunni nation that is a match for it militarily. Britain is pulling out of Iraq, the U.S. is bogged down and half ot its electrate is screaming to withdraw immediately. Israel got a bloody nose last year in Lebanon, and Gaza is now an outpost of the mullahocracy of Iran. Eighty percent of Bahrain is Shiite and Shiites are a majority in eastern Saudi where the major oil fields are located. Western Europe is fast becoming Europistan. Russia with her Baku oil fields is fast becoming a rogue state in league with Iran. Pakistan and her nukes is one coup away from being a major Jihadist supporter.
Yeah, there is plenty coming down the pike

Obviously your fellow Americans are too President Bush.
Not one more cent to them or you.

God, a simple prayer.
Would you please perform an exorcism on the President and remove whatever dimwittted demon keeps regurgitating this nonsense.

What is important is that he and his cronies have a cushy life. A lot of these guys already have cushy lives, and would have no trouble capitalizing on their current positions when they leave office without hitching themselves to shamnesty. Look at McCain. He married into huge wealth. Bush is worth something like 15 million. These guys dont need anything from the meatpacking, hospitality, and construction industries, etc when they leave office.

They’re vulnerable and exploited? Sheesh — If I went to a place ON PURPOSE and realized that I was vulnerable and exploited — I’d go the hell back to where I came from. This isn’t difficult. (But that’s just me...)
To: samadams2000
And WHY say this—unless YOU and your patrician family have EXPLOTED THEM??!!

You raise a very good point--what is the general sentiment of soldiers in Iraq to the Bush AMNESTY?
Would make a very good news story--interview US soldiers in Baghdad..."What do you think of what is happening to the borders in the US?"
