Thanks for providing reality to my rant. Oh well, I still feel better anyway.

I agree 100 percent. The only RINOs who should be tolerated are those from states like Maine—and then, only so long as they are on our side for the big things. Norm Coleman is a good example of the way you should act when you are a Republican from a Dem state. Lincoln Chafee was an example of someone who was conflicted over his inner self, and really wanted to be a Dem, but his Dad wouldn’t let him, so he acted out as best he could. Good riddance.

Prediction: McCain is bitter after being rejected for president a second time and Graham looks down the barrel of defeat. McCain/Graham run for president as an independent ticket splitting the GOP and GOP leaning independents. Clinton/Obama shore up the left voters and win the Whitehouse. Then, GAME ON......

Unless something turns around in 18 months, we will probably lose a lot of senate seats next year. I hope we can regain our majority in the House.

The main threat we can activate is the presence of workers to help whoever challenges him in the primary. Our in-kind services can far outweigh anything we can mail in. If everyone of us who feels strongly about this spent a weekend in SC we could really help get rid of this. Of course, then we’d have to go to Kansas too.

I've yet to panic on 2008, but it does appear that the Republicans are getting ready to put Georgia and South Carolina Senate seats at risk.

...but I can only conclude that Hillary has his FBI files and that other blackmail materials are out there.

Hmmm, you might just be onto something here.

We should know soon enough.

Any such kind of "dirt" on (alleged) Republicans mysteriously happens to surface shortly before the pres elections.

Hagle is the only one that has a primary opponent at this time.

Lott is not up for reelection.

Graham,Hagle,Tim Johnson from SD, Landreu(sp)frm LA( Most of her constituents are living in Houston.) and I believe that Lautenberg should be convinced to be retired, along with Domenici in NM,

I really think a good fight could be moutend againt Harkin in Iowa.

I started saying this last summer. South Carolina is a GOP enough state so we won’t risk losing that seat. I have worked in 72 hour pushes before and I would gladly go to South Carolina at my own expense to beat this guy in a primary. I hope anyone involved in a primary against gramnesty will take note of this message. There are many more people like me on the East coast who are ready willing and able to fight to dump gramnesty.

Primaries have been neglected for to long by Conservatives, even in one is not up in 08, someone at home should be making noises about running, keeping up the pressure and threats.

He/she should be well funded, with lots of media.

It is hard work, and not as sexy as general elections, and Senators have successfully thwarted opponents in the past.

But the past is now over, thank them for their service, and push someone new.

Looks as if Congress is usurping Rush Limbaugh by becoming the revised EIB (Excellence in Broadcasting) Network. Congress, the EIB Network, the Elitist Imbecile Bastion, working to destroy the Rule of Law and transform illegal trespassers into legal voters.

Lamar Alexander (TN) has voted right on immigration, including against cloture so far, but he has failed to commit to using all necessary measures to defeat instant amnesty. His office flacks keep talking about amendments and changes to the bill this time around, but of course we already know they will never surrender on instant, universal, permanent amnesty, which is totally unacceptable.

I tell them every day when I call that I am watching the procedural votes with every bit as much interest as the up and down votes on substance, and I will NOT be impressed by a “NO” vote on an adopted bill.

Good news from South Carolina. This could probably be its own thread but I thought I'd post it here anyway:

Duncan says he may take on Graham

The early efforts of those amorphous Republicans quietly (?) soliciting a viable primary challenger for Sen. Lindsey Graham may have netted a contender.

"I'm praying about it," says third-term state House member Jeff Duncan, R-Laurens.

Duncan said Graham role in the just-defeated bipartisan immigration bill and the secrecy surrounding its drafting were too much for him.

"He should have backed up on that," Duncan said. "Folks are put out with him."
