(WTNH) _ The Connecticut for Lieberman Party is calling on Senator Joseph Lieberman to resign from the U.S. Senate following his remarks made Sunday on CBS' Face the Nation regarding military action against Iran.
Lieberman said on the national television program that, "we've got to be prepared to take aggressive military action against the Iranians."
The Connecticut for Lieberman Chair, Dr. John Orman, called for Lieberman's resignation saying that he "crossed the line" and "no longer represents the views of the citizens of Connecticut."
Orman, a longtime critic of Lieberman, took control of the minority party back in January.
McCarthy was right.
And Darwin was wrong.
So, like was he expected to praise Joe? Sounds like someone left the door open and the wrong dog came home (to borrow a phrase).
McCain is catering...pandering...WHORING to them....there, fixed. :/
The really interesting thing here is, how far will Lieberman go to protect Israel? Right now he seems like a strong American patriot, but, take Israel out of the equation, and then ask Lieberman about Iran. I’m only guessing, but I suspect he will then look very much like any other liberal democrat.
“...we must open our borders to the world’s emigrants.”
Many of whom are not Mexican nationals, but rather, middle easterners who entered the western hemisphere through El Salvador and other central American countries and made their way north to the Rio Grande, then the U.S.
...even as a RINO, he'll still vote more conservative than some in the GOP....HAGEL/SHOWE...et al.
The Connecticut for Lieberman Chair, Dr. John Orman, called for Lieberman's resignation... Um, no... if you don't like the politician you resign from the chair of the committee supporting him. How narcissistic. How typical. How dumb---I wonder whom Dr. Orman will support from his Connecticut for Lieberman position. |
Last night he was the only non-GOP Senator to oppose cloture on the Gonzales no-confidence resolution. So he helped sink it.
I’ll sew a new addition on the Republican Tent to accomodate Joe. Politics is the art of compromise. While I disagree with Lieberman on a number of issues, we need his help in winning this war. As for RINOS, the proper time to engage those issues is in the primaries. Let’s let the dims form the circular firing squads.
Yeah, that too.
Hey Joe, don’t quit the senate, just the democRAT party you caucus with and join the repubs.
Does he? What is his position on North Korea? Has he taken the same firm stand there?
He no longer reflects the interests and values of the Dem/Socialist parties either.
The nerve! On the side of the USA and against our enemies?!
How dare he?
Joe should resign, just to spite them. They'll find themselves in a very difficult position - they'll have to find another senatorial candidate named Lieberman to support.
Basically what happened was Lieberman declared himself a member of a political party that didn’t exist.
He changed his registration and filled in “Connecticut for Lieberman” but never got around to filing papers to create the political party. Orman noticed this and took advantage of it.
Exactly. Stupid is as stupid does. Wish Joe would cross over but.
Joe there you go again insulting the islamic terrorists, don’t you know that can get you in big trouble! YOU GO JOE YOU GOT BIGGER COCOANUTS THAN MOST IN THE GOP! LOVE YOU JOE!
I don't get this. Why would he chair a committee to elect Lieberman if he's been a long time critic of Lieberman? I'm missing something.
