Why Did C-SPAN Blacklist Savage?

Michael Savage, the #3 most listened to talk-show host in America, was honored by Talkers Magazine, the "Bible" of talk radio, with this year's Freedom of peech Award.

Recently, Talkers held a bash at which they presented the award. C-SPAN, which claims to be nonpartisan and nonideological, was there and carried most of the speeches. But for some reason, it blacklisted Savage's speech accepting the award.

Why would a nonideological network do this? More liberal media bias, obviously. C-SPAN has now willingly made itself part of the liberal effort to suppress freedom of speech in this country.

Laura Ingraham's rise is amazing considering that her show is broadcast in morning drive on the East Coast, and most of the nation doesn't get her show until the late morning, afternoon drive, or even early evening.

When Rush was revealed to be addicted to Oxycontin and potentially in danger of imprisonment, all dittoheads were confronted with who could fill his shoes if he were to disappear. The short answer is "nobody," but I believe in a head-to-head battle on competing stations for the daily #1 spot, Laura Ingraham could make a strong challenge to Hannity.

Ratings are not a measure of worth. For years, the magazine with the highest circulation was TV Guide. Before that, it was Reader's Digest. Now, it's Parade. I would not rely on any of those publications for insight on anything important. People sells far more copies than The Economist. That doesn't make People worth reading.

C-SPAN (Cable and Satellite Public Affairs Network, in case you were wondering) is funded by the cable networks and carriers. It receives no government funding, unless you count tax breaks, which it probably gets.
