US President George W. Bush, leaving behind thousands of anti-Bush protesters in Rome, got a hero's welcome in Albania on Sunday as he became the first American president to visit this tiny impoverished nation.
When Mr. Bush arrived on his brief stop in Tirana, the hills overlooking the capital boomed as military cannons fired a 21-gun salute to the president. Thousands of people gathered in the downtown square on a brilliantly sunny day to see the president and first lady Laura Bush

Coach helping Sam Malone study for his Geography final so Sam could get his high school diploma. Sam had been getting automatic A’s on everything because he was boinking the teacher. Funny episode. “Taiwan, Taiwan by the sea, the China Sea!” If someone answered this before me, I swear I didn’t cheat.
Thanks S/E Yours are too!
Thanks for your feedback, GLC. I appreciate the fact that you responded even though I disagree with you almost entirely.
I don’t know the lesser of two politicians (Bush v. Kerry) should be something that we should celebrate. The fact that he is “head and shoulders above the alternative” doesn’t necesarily validate Bush’s support of his conservative base or lack thereof. He might think we are xenophobes and bigots but a friendly ear to our feedback is not too much to ask of him, is it?
Pres. Bush is entirely wrong w.r.t. the illegal immigrants. Instead of upholding the Law, he is busy arm twisting the few Republican senators that fought against this travesty of a bill.
Since you want to compare him to Democrats, here’s a recent example of his bizarre behavior: After the Dims argued in favor of making illegals pay back taxes, Bush pushed for them to remove this provision from the bill that came up for cloture. That’s interesting, isn’t it? Bush is fighting to forgive taxes for criminals even when the liberal political establshment was resigned to this provision. The net result - this provision was removed from the Kennedy-McCain bill under WH pressure.
On independence for Kosovo or Gen. Pace, Bush has demonstrated neither spine nor conservative principles. Now, tell me again - why are you still supporting him?
Drew, you hit it “on the epi-center of the fulcrum, there”!
Like I had stated before - there are certain words / associations MGD and I will never be able to forget :o)
And “if you parse that in the Latin declention, my point is still moot.” Every time the word “Albania” is mentioned, someone in my family sings Coach’s study aid. Classic stuff.
What did it say? Mexico?
Mexico gives Buah a Hero’s Welcome?
The attack on Serbia was all Clinton from start to finish. However, I am not impressed that it was not reversed after GWB came into office. He should have switched sides immediately. It appears the State Department is in control of US Balkan policy and it acts in the interests of international narco-traffiking.
There are more Bush supporters here on FR than not...read what we all type regarding Him for yourself. No neeed to restate the obvious reasons why...
What part of our typed clearly English don’t you understand?
Most of these threds are hijacked. These bush-bashing trolls do nothing but cast personal attacks on anyone who shows any support for Bush regarding any issue. They simply divert any subject to an immigration issue and initiate personal attacks on the members of FR. This explains such childish name calling like ‘bushbot’ and silly insults telling people to ‘get a life’.
Answer my post and with specifics, if you are capable. As mentioned earlier, mere hero worship isn’t enough. I have seen a few hero worshippers here; you are probably the worst of the lot.
Dubious distinction indeed...LOL
I already told you I only worship Jesus! & I am in the right to do so. I’m though typing to you...You obviously don’t understand what I’ve already typed to you. No point in doing so any further. Leave me be!
Do not post to or about Purple Mountains Maj.
Bush get’s a hero’s welcome in Albania.
That reminds me of what one conservative wag said when Nixon went to China-
“I don’t mind him going. I just object to him coming back.”
OK, AdminMod.
“Is there any limit to this mans foolishness?”
Apparently not dear General, apparently not.
