Family Alas Babylon! is leaving sunny Orlando, Florida this morning.
I got to meet up with Phsstpok for about 10 minutes at a time twice. I wish I didn’t have to work at the conference, and Phsstpok had a lot of sessions to attend, so maybe next year, FRiend!
Friday night we drove down to a coworker’s Mom’s house in Cocoa Beach for a live space shuttle launch. The kids were thrilled, and we saw American power and ingenuity in all its glory!
Now it’s back to Alabama this morning. I will probably not post any replies, so sorry.

Beware the Bloggers’ Bile (Joe Klein blames left-wing blog kookery on RUSH Limbaugh)
Interesting for three reasons.
It indicates the Political Left isn’t willing to hear anything in the “News” that does not validate their emotional based dogmas about Iraq.
That Left leaning Journalists, far from being objective, are subjected to, and respond to, considerable pressure to tow the party line on Iraq.
That the Left is serious stuck in denial about the impact of their own favorite debate tactics on the nation's political discourse.
What Klein is objecting to is the normal type of discourse directed at anyone who disagreed with the Left during the 1960s-1970-1980 etc. Anyone who either went to College in that time frame or lived thru the Reagan era knows this debate tactic has been the standard operating procedure of the Left long before Rush showed up on the scene.
So what is the SF guy saying about the Philliphines? Kind of the forgotten front of the WOT.
Every one of the scheduled guests is for open borders and a supporter of the traitorous amnesty bill. Not one opponent in the lot, and that includes Huckabee.
Is this how Gov. Richardson did it when he pitched for the Red Sox? Or Royals?
Fortunately not forgotten by the folks who actually get things done. Too many successes for the MSM to want to pay attention to it.

I would like Russert to ask Collin Powell these:
1. Knowing what you know now (Libby did Probono legal work for Richard Armitage when Libby was in private law practice), tell the public why you & your deputy were silent even though your deputy was the leaker?
2. You expressed anger during Trent Lott episode. Were you upset as well when Condi Rice was attacked?
3. Are you satisfied that Prez.Bush's nominee John Bolton was not confirmed?
4. Do you think your advise to McCain on "Terror Interrogation techniques" will help him get the Republican nomination?
5. Were you upset when President dumped you? (this is just for the kicks).
Secretary Powell, did you rise in the ranks of the Army by being a backstabber or did you come to this methodology later in life?
Thanks. Joe Klein is an intelligent journalist. Problem is, as like anyone else he is also a liberal, so he naturally include RUSH Limbaugh to “even hand” his thesis on whatever he talks about. He is one of those who realize that Conservatives are intelligent & liberals just angry on everything Conservatives doing.
I was considering skipping the Sunday shows this week, but I just realized it’s a “paris Hilton free” zone...
