I suspect if their is a riot the Judge who decided to whore for media headlines by sending a prison of her PR status to a jail is to blame. She is NOT “just like everyone else” no matter how much that offend the pseudo egalitarianism of the average American.

Just as a disabled or mentally handicapped prisoner is going to require special handling, someone famous is NOT “just like everyone else” A sane Judge would of fined her $1 mil or sentenced her to 200,000 hours of community service rather then inflict this circus on the jail.

This is from the story if you click on it:

Paris may still get out of jail early, as her sentence is likely to be reduced for good behaviour — and her lawyers are planning to appeal next week.

Is acting like a spoiled rotten crybaby - and expecting to be treated better than the other inmates - considered "good behaviour"? From your comment above, to me, it sounds like the judge is quite sane. He probably observed her petulant behaviour in the courtroom, examined her past record of disregarding the law & ignoring judgments passed to her during other convictions. She clearly thumbed her nose at the courts & was spiraling quickly downward to self-destruction & possibly taking some innocent by-stander with her.

It would be one thing if Paris had demonstrated that she "gets it" & showed some remorse and sensitivity to the seriousness of the charges against her. If she had shown a modicum of respect for the system. The girl clearly has some drug & alchohol addiction problems that her high-falootin' spa/resort/rehab facilities have not been able to correct.

The judge, in my opinion, showed rare insight into this girl's serious problems & determined that a dose of reality and paying for your actions (for the first time in her life) might be the only thing that finally cracks her hard & pampered head! This judge is trying to do Paris and the rest of us a favor - this, if Paris & her family would just realize - is the best thing that's ever happened to her. It might just save her life.

She should have been turned over to that great Sheriff in Arizona, that really tough guy that has chain gangs, no coffee, live in tents in the heat, makes you work, and no TV guy. That would be the last time you ever saw Paris in court.

You right. The L.A. sheriff should have pitched a tent out near Rosamund (Ave A) or Lake Los Angeles and barred all the dumb media reporters who have nothing better to do then waste time following some spoiled brat.

Johnnie, a voice of sanity crying in the wilderness.

This unrestrained glee over this girl’s incarceration is beginning to be embarrassing.

We’re supposed to be conservatives. We don’t hate the rich, we just want to join them.

23 years of community service?

"She is NOT “just like everyone else” no matter how much that offend the pseudo egalitarianism of the average American."

She puts her pants on one leg at a time......just like the rest of us. The fact that she acts like a five-year-old is her own problem.

I think the real question here is whether or not Paris should be water boarded. I for one vote yes! She’s obviously in a vulnerable state. One little push and she might give up all her slutty friends.

It would give Chertoff something to do besides help sell the country down the drain. They could say it was part of the President’s Comprehensive Irrigation Reform package.

So you believe in a different justice system for different people? I don't think so.....

Notice in the picture below. The covering over the eyes means something that is apparently lost to you, which isn't surprising.

There are plenty of disabled and mentally handicapped people in jail. In the case of Hilton, she has spent the recent years of her life playing to the media, virtually daring them to photograph her breaking the law. I’m real sorry it’s so traumatic for her to actually have consequences for her actions, but this may save her life and that of the potential victims of her drunken driving.

She didn’t just drink and drive, she was given probation, like “everyone else”, and defiantly violated her conditions at least three times. Being a spoled brat is not a mitigating circumstance to allow her to stay out of jail. The fact that she has cultivated her celebrity status doesn’t give her a pass. There are plenty of rich people who live quietly and go about their business, but she hasn’t chosen to do that.

Yeah... frickin judge. How dare he? Oh, and what did she drink the night she was pulled over? Let's blame the makers of that drink. And what about the car she was driving? Those a-holes, they are to blame for the riot. And the workers that built the roads- if those roads had not been there, paris wouldn't have been out on the street. The road workers are to blame for any riots that result from this. Find out where the prosecutor was born and who did the delivery. That evil s.OB (hehe... get it... OB... s OB. nevermind) has some explaining to do. And the prosecutor's parents! What were they thinking when they coupled to make a baby that would some day bring all this pain and suffering to the world? They are to blame for this mess. Had they used some form of contraception, none of this would have happened. Get Trojan on the phone!!! Why weren't the parents of the prosecutor given an ample amount of condoms so that their evil prosecutor baby would have never been born???!!!!???!!! And why are there no time machines? It's 2007 for pete's sake. When are they going to get around to mass marketing time machines? If we had time machines, we could go back in time and prevent any one involved in paris' incarceration from ever being born!!!!!! I blame the slow march of progress for any riots. I'm going to write Stephen Hawking and ask him to send me a time machine. I'm sure he has one. And if he doesn't, he has blood on his hands for paris being in jail.

sigh..

Again, it is HIGHLY likely that the charge of which she was convicted follows the form of most other laws in that it will have a MAXIMUM amount of time/fine/sanction etc. In simpler terms, this means the judge cannot arbitrarily impose a "1 mil" fine, and the fine that the law does allow would top out at an amount that would be completely below her notice.

But hey, its fun to say that a judge is "whoring" for the media and pretend that we know more than he does about his job, huh?
