On Judges and taxcuts alone Bush has done far more good for the Conservative Movement's future then all the screaming lunatics on the radio, or penning columns. Time for the mindless twit Bush haters to finally sit down and shut up. They have done nothing but scream bile at this President since day one.

Sorry but the 100%ers, like Kelly here, can look in the mirror if they want to know who the REAL enemy is. They have all spent all their time screaming bile at the GOP because they could not have only 100% of only what they wanted.

Frankly, GET OFF OUR SIDE. They are cause far more trouble then they "help" with their perpetual whining and always angry rantings.

Nope--do not agree. I am one who held his nose when Bush signed McCain-Feingold. Still supported him. Hated the Harriet Meiers nomination, but moved on. Also, complained a bit when he fired Rummy AFTER the election instead of before, and believe that dumb act cost us several house seats.

The LAST straw for me and, I believe, many others has been this idiotic, America-destroying, Ted Kennedy-supported immigration bill.

I will not defend Dubya anymore, but you go right ahead. And I will not call you any names.

I can not understand your blind faith in politicians, especially those who are REPRESENTATIVES. The definition I understand is the rep should take the will of the voters of their state to the federal government.

“They have done nothing but scream bile at this President since day one.”

That’s not true if the majority are like me. I fought haard to have the Pres. re-elected. I realize that his hands were tied by do gooders that felt we should be sensitive to the terorrists needs. But when he sought to destroy this country by his open borders agenda is when most of us put our foot down. If he is not for us, he is againsst us(just to coin a phrase).

For most of the Bush presidency I have been one of his most ardent backers. Go back and read my posts (older than a few months ago). I even defended him during the Harriet Miers fiasco, in which I was still willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. But this immigration bill, this teaming up with the fat murderer from Massachusetts, and with very dirty Harry Reid, is too much for me.

Although I still laud President Bush for his stand in Iraq, and still back the war 100%, I can't think of our President without feeling deeply and totally betrayed.

To fight a "war on terror" and leave the border completely open, and then to team up with the fat murderer and dirty Harry to open it up even further, is a betrayal of monumental, stupendous and historical proportions.

George W Bush will go down in history as the Jimmy Carter of the Republican Party. Which is sad. Truly and terribly sad.

There’s no one but you and a dwindling few left on the Bushbot side. Turn off the lights if you are the last one to leave.

Actually MN, regardless what you think about the past, as of today, Kelly is right. The R's HAVE to run against Bush in 2008. We will get slaughtered if we don't. By his actions in the immigration fiasco, he has released his base from any requirement of ongoing loyalty. That permits the R's to run against him.

If they are smart, they will run against him on border security first, border security first, border security first. The dems cannot allow border security ever--they are building their governing majority 20 years from now by the anchor babies of illegals. The more we talk about Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid blocking the fence that was authorized, the more seats we win in congress in 2008 and the more likely we are to win the presidency.

72% of the public thinks we should address border security first and W and Kennedy have raised the public awareness of the issue to an all time high with the recent, failed bill.

We now have an issue conservatives can win on and flip congress in 2008. I realize the prospect of a conservative victory probably doesn't warm the cockles of your heart. But it does mine.

Side note "Get off our side"???? You are nuts. Conservatives are about 35% of the American public. Do you think Rudy or Chuck Hagel would have ANY chance of winning without us? Get real. You're just upset that conservatives are finally asking to be treated as an equal member of the coalition. For far too long, the chamber of commerce R's have run the party lock-stock-and-barrel while the conservatives dutifully went out and walked precincts for candidates approved by the chamber who pretended to be just conservative enough to keep us on the plantation. And look where it got the party.

If "OUR SIDE" means that I have to embrace Kennedy "immigration" ideas....I no longer want to be on your side.

I am grateful for the conservative things that Pres Bush did...SCOTUS justices, (temporary) tax cuts...taking the war to the muslim extremists...bringing dignity and honor back to the White House....et al...

But what does it matter if we let him destroy the essence of our Country by overwhelming it by a strange, corrupt and foreign culture?

It makes no sense to me why any American would embrace such an idea.

btw...the only "mistake" I think Bush made re: the wah....the war is not a real war. A real war is devistation...air strikes and naval bombardments...subjugation of the population...setting down a rule of law and making the people live by it.

If I look, will I find you having drooled all over the “Daily Dose” threads? If so, go back to Insanity Island. If not, go now.

The tax cuts... are not permanent. Not a huge victory.

Judges - We had to beat his ass until he gave up on Miers. His initial judgement on who to pick was horrible. We had to hold his feet to the fire to get a decent one out of him.

“mindless twit Bush hatersmindless twit Bush haters?” I worked for both campaigns and feel sorely let down. Your inane comment leaves no room for the true nature of the masses who are disappointed with him now - ex-supporters who are furious about CFR, medicare giveaways, the unheralded growth of the size of transfer programs - more than Clinton, Dubai Ports, the border, the immigration bill, and the constant insulting by Bush of Republicans. Insulting, yes - if we opposed Miers we’re sexist, if we oppose Amnesty we’re racist.

“They have all spent all their time screaming bile at the GOP because they could not have only 100% of only what they wanted.”

The GOP pissed away it’s political capital. You’re the one screaming bile at those who have noticed - telling us to shut up. You even said it - “Time for the mindless twit Bush haters to finally sit down and shut up.” No, it’s time for the Bots to clean their ears and open their eyes and pay attention to how the GOP under Bush has self destructed. It’s frankly stupid of you to blame Bush’s self destruction on those who have opposed his liberal moves since day one.

“Frankly, GET OFF OUR SIDE. They are cause far more trouble then they “help” with their perpetual whining and always angry rantings.”

We expect Bush to be a conservative. That’s how he ran. I guess you want the Conservatives to leave you RINO’s alone to run the GOP? Screw that, it’s too important. You will be fought every step of the way. Amnesty will not happen. Real conservatives will continue to oppose Bush’s ongoijng LIBERAL plans like the Law of the Sea Treaty, the PC ROE in Iraq, billions for African dictators, open borders, growth of federal bureaucracy, unprecedented growth of social programs, and his creeping socialism.

Look at your post vs. mine. I pointed out a plethora of ways in which Bush disappointed those with conservative tendencies. You dismissed anyone who isn’t a bot as a “mindless twit” who is “screaming bile.” You threw out 2 non-examples - judges and tax cuts - and namecalled the rest of the way. Pretty sad.

That's true enough, but only because Bush is in a position to act while the rest of us are not. The actions you cite are such elementary no-brainers that any "screaming lunatic" would have done the same. Praising Bush for these minimal actions is like giving a soldier a medal for showing up in the morning.

Cutting taxes and appointing conservative judges isn't exactly bold leadership for a REPUBLICAN, it's expected.

As far as I am concerned, when the people at the top order our law enforcement officers to turn a blind eye and ignore the law, then the people at the top are traitors. Just who is ordering our law enforcent to ignore the letter of the law? “W”, that’s who. That alone should be enough for impeachment.

Don’t go telling me I hate the GOP, I’m a caucus captain. I expect the leaders of the party to also respect the rule of law. If they don’t, then THEY can leave the GOP, we have no room for RINO compromisers. If that causes a divide in the party, then at least I know what side I’m on.

I supported G.W. Bush for president while he was still campaigning for governor of Texas the first time.

Leaving Rumsfeld to twist in the wind lost me. Amnesty put a blowtorch on the tinder box, so go fork yourself...

And that bile is winning even here at FR. I’m seeing a good percentage of posts these days negative to Bush and quite a few Republicans. Hope it’s all out of frustration, not a bunch of stinking Dem lurkers! I don’t want to hear any more whining about the Illegal bill (it’s DEAD). Some of this gets old, ya know. Keep writing and I’ll keep reading, thanks!

All of it was bile and Bush hatred - not a shred of reality to it eh? Just "bile"?
