I was at the Melbourne Flea Market last Sunday and one of the shops had 2 huge new cases(200-300) of shoe polished(?) brown rough cut wooden rubber band guns. You can not mistake them for real at arms length, which is how I saw them.
I wanted to buy one for a grandson...but decided not to take it to VA this weekend.
I wonder if they should be alerted to this story?
By the way I am taking a pair of Pirate swords instead! LOL
If it was painted black to look like a weapon your right..
Since we don’t know yet lets let Dad remain free ok?

Good God, for a child that age it should be the PARENTS who get in trouble, not the child. There is no way the child, unless told, would be able to know that his rubber band gun appears similar enough to a genuine gun to be mistaken for it at the distances involved.
Now if it was painted, say don’t do that anymore..
What kind of Moron arrests a kid for a rubber band gun?...
The kind that would have pooped his pants had he run into 6 of us in a pickup with S&W 357s and Ruger Blackhawk 44Mags laying everywhere...
Peace Officer: Son your left brake light is out... get it fixed ok..
Driver: Yes sir...
Officer: Where you boys headed?... noticing guns across the dashboard
Kids In unison: Shooting...grinning
Officer.... watch out for houses...
Kids Yes Sir..
Officer.... Have fun...
One of those kids saved the backside of a Peace Officer in that same department.. years later. The officer got jumped late at night in a Courtyard. He was on the ground fighting two adult men one trying to beat his brains out the other trying to take his gun..when the young man jumped in.
What goes around ... comes around..

Needs to sue their butts off.
Why? Nothing wrong with a rubber band gun. Or are you afraid of rubber bands?
Thanks for the fix.
