IMPORTANT — Call your senators and if they are on the wrong side give them the devil if they are on the right side say THANK YOU. The ones that are on the right side need to hear from us, tell them you are in their corner. They need to hear the positive feedback.

This needed repeating.

I’m not sure. In Texas we had 1 and 1

Kay Bailey Hutchison, the pro-pornography, pro-abortion, senator from American Airlines, voted with the pro-criminal axis against the American people.

If we can stop cloture again tonight, we win.

The pro-criminal axis will pull the bill.

Well, if it doesn’t pass, some lawyers could make money implementing the solution — RICO lawyers could turn it around in a few years and MAKE MONEY at the same time. I’m surprised they haven’t done it already.

In the absence of enforcement,we can get the word out in the meantime that there is money to be made in filing RICO lawsuits against employers who hire illegal aliens.

Employers would have no trouble shutting down the border if they could get sued by someone under the RICO statutes for hiring these people in the first place. The next time an illegal alien kills someone in a drunk driving accident or somesuch thing, I’m going to point out that the victim’s family might be able to seek compensation from the employer under these statutes in the hopes that it would catch on. If this did catch on, would see such a swift backlash against illegal immigration that no employer would go near these people and they’ll all simply want to go back home.

You're right about that! You think some of them may be trying to add a little poison to the pot?!

Rats have been hearing from their liberal constitutents about this bill, too. They'd love to be in the position of saying, "I voted to keep the legal slavery of the temporary work visas down to a short time, and then the Republicans pulled their support away from a bill that even their President supported."

Ironic, isn't it, that the Rats are the ones that might save the country from this mess?

FRom Michelle Malkin's site..

Shamnesty on the Senate floor, Day 3 Coburn pushes for full enforcement of existing laws
Reid: "This is the president's bill;" Trent Lott "serves notice"
Coburn amendment fails, 42-54; first cloture vote fails, 33-63
By Michelle Malkin · June 07, 2007 09:48 AM

The Coburn amendment 1311 to require full enforcement of existing immigration laws fails, 42-54. If you are calling Senate offices, you might want to concentrate on these ones:

GOP Sens voting NAY on the Coburn amendment - that is, voting against full enforcement of existing immigration laws: LUGAR, KYL, CRAIG, VOINOVICH, COLLINS, MURKOWSKI, BROWNBACK, HAGEL, STEVENS, DOMENICI, WARNER, SPECTER

A fragile compromise that would legalize millions of unlawful immigrants risks coming unraveled after the Senate voted early Thursday to place a five-year limit on a program meant to provide U.S. employers with 200,000 temporary foreign workers annually.

OK, here's what gives me heartburn.....they are mixing "unlawful" with "legal" immigrants.....AGAIN! Aren't "temporary foreign workers" considered legal if they're given green cards or temp visas or whatever paperwork they need? Those of us opposed to this scamnesty do not want the "illegal" immigrants given a free pass. HELLO! Stop mixing apples and oranges. Deport "unlawful" now.

just sent to Voinovich (rino) and Brown (lib demo) from Ohio:

Dear Senator ______,

My name is *****I am ****pastor, and a retired US Army Chaplain.

I am writing against the current McCain/Kennedy Illegal Alien Amnesty Bill.

This bill would be a terrible mistake for Ohio for a variety of reasons that have to do with homeland security, but another major reason it should be defeated is that it both takes jobs from legal Americans, and it increases competition for jobs, lowering overall wages.

Any time a number of prospective workers willing to work at extremely low wages is added to the job market, that reduces the amount that any company has to pay anyone it hires.

Here in Adams County, and in much of southern Ohio, the job market has been abysmal. Some of the highest unemployment in the state is always recorded in south Ohio.

A vote for the McCain/Kennedy bill is a vote against the workers of Ohio having jobs with living wages. A vote for McCain/Kennedy is a vote for an illegal alien to take aan Ohio worker’s job.

I trust you will vote against this illegal alien amnesty bill.

Sincerely,
