Mitch is graciously inviting Reid to get his ass kicked again.
If you remember, Reid blamed it on the Republicams. McConnell is just throwing back in his lap to make it look like the Dems don’t want to compromise. It’s called politics and everyone is playing both sides of the fence after the fact.
The rinos want their bill, it was just a fluke that cloture didn’t pass.
