This is the homestretch.
Call and e-mail your senators today, Republicans and Democrats, urging them not to table debate on this critical piece of legislation.
It deserves a fair and open debate of all ramifications. To do otherwise is unamerican.
Ask them to vote "NO" on cloture.
Keep bumping this to the top.
Today is the day.
NOW they are voting
VP for who, Jeff?
I’m hoping, hoping also...........How could Reid and company have twisted so many arms in so little time?! I don’t think it’s possible. Please let this travesty of a bill die now!
REID CALLS FOR CLOTURE ROUND 2.
This is it. Reid is seeming somewhat resigned. Hopefully that’s an indicator of death heading into 8:30 EST.
Please God let them feel the weight of the American’s breath on their necks.
I realize that, but he just voted to allow them to continue making back room deals. I am disgusted with the man.
The nominee, silly!
They’re just calling roll to consider debate of Reid’s alternative motion. Sit back.
We shall now see who stands for America.
I’m thinking and hoping just that too.
You are right now another vote ... the previous vote was whether or not to drag Kennedy out of the bar!
I appreciate you keeping us informed as to what is happening. My cable went out this morning they have yet to get it fixed.
Well at least they know where to look for him!
What was Reid talking about when he said Senators were coming in from all over the country and something about a vote at 11:50??
From Brownback for President (underline added for emphasis):
Immigration
Border security is Senator Brownback's top priority and has consistently voted to immediately secure the border. "One of the primary jobs of the United States government is to ensure the safety of the American people. In order to do so, we must secure our borders." - U.S. Senator Sam Brownback
Border Security is National Security
"Securing our borders must be our top priority as a nation. Our Southern border is porous and must be secured. Secure borders make Americans safer." - U.S. Senator Sam Brownback
Now, today...
Coburn Amdt. No. 1311, As Modified "To require the enforcement of existing border security and immigration laws and Congressional approval before amnesty can be granted."
Brownback (R-KS) NAY
I have no idea... I thought that was odd too.
deja vu all over again
Ha!,Thanks,I needed that.
“I could choke.”
Breathe deep, victory is at hand. I’m awaiting the moment to see this POS tabled.
Just don’t let him drive!
Brownback has always been open border. Not a chance at prez ole Sammy boy!
