That is the headline on Drudge and all he has for now. Since Matt is undoubtedly in bed on the East Coast, we can probably thank Andrew Breitbart.
The immigration bill is on the brink of collapse in the Senate. Let's hope for some more developments soon.
It would be nice to know who voted against this. I bet they were all RATS.
All are doable except the part about refusing citizenship to the anchor babies. I believe that would require an amendment to the Constitution, no?
You don't suppose this has anything to do with McPain pulling out of the Straw Poll, do you?
When my wife went through immigration screening 10 years ago, the State Dept. was very concerned about TB infection. You had to have a chest X-ray and be cleared by a U.S.-approved hospital (this was in Saigon, and clearance was required from Chau Rai Hospital, which at the time was the best in all of Vietnam).
If you did not pass the TB screening you had to get clearance from a physician stating that you were under his care and undergoing the medical regime for TB.
That wasn't the only test, there were others for STDs as well as a general medical history and checkup, plus more that I can't recall. The checks were rather costly time consuming. Vaccinations for polio, MMR, rotavuirus, Hep A, Hep B, Meningococcal, varicella, flu, etc.
I won't describe the home country financial, criminal, and banking releases, that's another topic.
Americans don't seem to "get it", that the diseases we rarely see or thing about are almost rampant in Third World and developing countries including Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and Salvador.
Diseases that I have personally seen abroad (picked up by American tourists and acquaintances and friends) include chronic malaria, cerebral meningitis, dengue fever, enchepalitis, hepatitis A, and rabies.
Our Z visa "guest worker" illegals will be checked and immunized for NOTHING. ZERO.
“Sessions for President.”
Since the start of this last year, Sessions has been the most outspoken, yet truthful senator on the floor about illegals. Really worth watching.
KEEP UP THE HEAT!!!! e-mail...phone...senators, white house, congressmen. We can win this fight!!
Oh boy, I have sent the faxes and emails, but I haven’t actually called them yet. Never have called them, in fact. I’m one of them “slow to anger” types. But it’s getting real, real close. They ain’t gonna like it when I call them. I will have to watch it, so I don’t get a knock at the door.
Thanks. I don’t know how anyone could have voted against this amendment.
..Need to keep praying!
What can you conclude from that, except that most of our gutter slimeball politicians WANT a CRIMINAL CONSTITUENCY to fuel their POWER desires? Hmmmmm?
Just saw this commercial on FOX in NY from Texas Employers for Immigration Reform site. (http://txeir.org/default.aspx). They’re pushing back bigtime.

I’d vote for redirecting monies for free government services to the illegals to building the fence, hiring more BP agents, incarceration for those illegals caught until deported, increasing the ICE staff to speed up the process for allowing those to come into the country legally and judges for deportation hearings. Now exactly what is wrong spending our tax dollars in that manner?
Phone calls, etc. must continue ....we cannot assume anything..!
also...Pray without ceasing!...
..ask for stamina & a strong voice for Senator Sessions and his allies!
Pray for courage & also protection for those who are defending this country and its citizens both domestically and abroad
I imagine a WaPo article from 1912, would have read: "After a brief delay due to an encounter with an ice berg, the Titanic is back on schedule again for its arrival in New York harbor."
We’re getting it here in Florida too....:(
The only abortion I support is of this bill.
We already have millions of hispanic workers all over our streets here in Dallas Texas area, driving to work yesterday morning (yes I actually work) they were cutting lawns, working for the cities of Richardson, Carrollton, Addison, Plano, Dallas fixing our streets, they were the roofers repairing our roofs (you know low wage earners)
they are construction workers building our homes, oh did I mention putting up fences (you should see the gem of a fence placed next door, OMG!)
We don’t need no stinkin fence..
And the rest who can’t get their hands on one of those LOW wage jobs....they just go and steal from the rest of us, just watch local news every night!!
We don’t need no stinkin fence
do we Mr Guttierez, what we need are MORE illegals standing on street corners selling dope to minors...
