That is the headline on Drudge and all he has for now. Since Matt is undoubtedly in bed on the East Coast, we can probably thank Andrew Breitbart.
The immigration bill is on the brink of collapse in the Senate. Let's hope for some more developments soon.
Right, BG?
Not at all. I both like and respect Southerners. I think there are as many smart Southerners as Northerners, in politics and perhaps in general. But Sessions just sounds stupid when I hear him. I’ll admit, it doesn’t necessarily mean that he is. But at a minimum, it reduces his influence somewhat.
Talk about getting the golden parachute... for the administrators, but certainly not for the teachers.
At least IIRC.
Senate Rules are somewhat “ExtraConstitutional”, near as I can figure. I think when that confederacy of finishing-school dunces convenes every other year the first thing to be voted on is the parliamentary procedure.
Frankly, they make me sick.
Good question. I’m not sure how those proportional requirements work.

Long claims he launched his undercover anti-terrorism plan and identified corrupt U.S. customs agents in Mexico at a prescreening facility for trucks crossing the border.
Long said he was tracking a marijuana shipment tied to the customs officials when he was arrested by the Illinois State Police in March 2006 at a warehouse at 4220 W. 47th along with Ricardo Juarez, who was helping him. Long and Juarez were charged with possession of about 1,200 pounds of marijuana. But Long insisted the marijuana in the warehouse was packaged differently than the pot he was tracking, Vilkelis said.
But he leads me to believe that most of our best politicians are slimy little Money Whores who have no qualms about destroying our way of life, as long as they get that little $$$$ thang on the side. Wink wink nod nod.....
I suppose that makes me a tin-foiler, though. Nothing to see here, move along now.....
Just say NO to Amnesty!! Before its too late!!

If they force Johnson out to make cloture easier, then they are faced with a Republican governor in South Dakota who would likely replace him with a Republican, giving majority votes to Republicans (but not control). Then, the Democrats would try to force Republicans to appoint a Democrat to replace Johnson out of fairness, because the Democrat governor of Wyoming is replacing Thomas with another Republican, even if it's only because he's required by Wyoming law to do so, and not out of a sense of Democrat fairness to Republicans.
None of this will really happen, I'm just speculating on possibilities.

Steyn’s tome is far from tinfoil. It’s simple wisdom. Occam’s Razor and all that.
Not to mention a good read. Married Republican men of sufficient means need to take more days off and jump into the sack!
Don't worry! Soon a fine, young, illegal...err....I mean a new American citizen will do it for you. LOL
I’m carpet bombing with faxes and emails at this point with
NumbersUSA faxes, Tancredo’s website, and direct faxing.
I just hope my contact info doesn’t get misused.
That’s what I’m talking about.
Thanks for the story link.
GREAT NEWS!
They are the hope of this world IMO.
I called him quite a few times and left nasty messages. He’s never seen this much pressure from his constituents. We Kentuckians are a sleepy lot at times but don’t get us mad...
Either the bill goes away or the GOP goes away.
