2 miles from my house...... prayers for the Smith family.
Rest in Peace, Kelsey.
This is so sad.

We kicked God out of America and we are reaping what we have sown! A Godless society, with no morals and no soul.
I was just saying last night to my husband when this story was news that I’d fight like I was dead anyway before I could get shoved in the car. This is happening way too much lately. One thing I heard them mention was about her info on Myspace. Do you suppose lots of theses wierdos go to that and “pick” victims? Very scary. Just think so many more abduction/murders have been happening. My prayers go out to her family. I can’t even imagine their pain.
He is probably back in Mexico by now.
If he were a local, he’d be aware that these dept. stores all have cameras on all exits and entrances. He would have worn sunglasses and a baseball cap. What American boy drives a 1972 pickup truck? That thing probably traveled all the way here from Mejico.
Investigators had better hit every migrant worker camp withing 100 miles of KC. They’ll find him, if he hasn’t slipped back over the border by now.
I have two grown daughters and a 7 year old granddaughter. I'm thinking hand tools would be better - slower and more painful!!
Please continue to remember the entire family in your prayers.
Fight, and make plenty of noise. Even a slight delay and commotion might attract attention and believe it or not there are still some around who would come to help.
This story is almost exactly like a girl that was abducted & killed in Richmond, VA a year or so ago. They even found her body the same way buy seeing which cell tower & sector her phone was attached to.
The camera didn’t get a good view of the perp, but his car was easily ID’d.
He committed suicide once he knew they had the make/model/color of his car.
Did you see the video? It was truly over in the blink of an eye. I could not believe something could happen so fast. It has definitely made me think about my own “presence” when in a parking lot.
About 240 federal agents, police officers and police academy students were deployed to an area in south Kansas City Wednesday in search of 18-year-old Kelsey Smith, who disappeared four days ago.
Following leads developed from cell phone technology, the investigators are searching the areas south and east of U.S. Route 71 and Missouri Route 150. Law enforcement is asking that no volunteers participate in the search in order to preserve the integrity of any evidence found there.
FBI Special Agent Jeff Lanza told FOX News that a signal from Smith's cell phone was last picked up in the area around 8 p.m. Saturday, roughly one hour after she was abducted. Investigators were conducting a grid search of the 900-acre area.

Ladies fight like hell at the first abduction location because you never survive the second location. Former law enforcement.
I agree with fighting to your last breath instead of just allowing yourself to be shoved into a car. It’s entirely possible that these pervs go to MySpace and find victims there, or on other websites like that one. As for there being many more of these incidents - that may not actually be the case. It may just be that with the 24/7 news cycle and the use of the internet for news we are just hearing about more of these cases than ever before. I believe we (American) needs to have a more punitive approach to dealing with these pervs, though.
10:1 it was a porn induced frenzy.
Police have an ID on the suspect. Lives 2 miles from where the body was found. Has a long criminal record. They’re looking for him.
A bag of rock salt left over from this winter might also come in handy.
I just let my dachshunds in, turned on Fox and saw that Kelsey’s body had been found. They’re saying cops I.D.’d a suspect and they’re after him. He crossed state lines, so the feds are involved. I do think society will get so fed up with abductions and murders of innocents that micro-chipping will become common, and done in such a way that you can’t see it casually.
