I wouldn't classify China as an ally to the US, but I don't consider them an enemy at this time either.

Was Germany or Japan an enemy of ours in, say, 1936? Not technically speaking, no. But I'd think that it would've been extremely foolhardy at best to give them this kind of leg up. Giving a very serious and unfriendly competitor this kind of capability can turn them into an enemy who thinks he can take you.

I agree with you. My reply was in response to a comparison between this Admiral and Nancy Pelosi. Pelosi was flirting with treason in a time of war, where the Admiral is making a monumentally huge Error in Judgment.

ESPECIALLY considering China seems to go out of their way to snuggle up to enemies of ours, and provides weapons to same.

They also occasionally threaten us with a nuclear holocaust.
