Nice... Trying to up your fundraising numbers by plugging your personal fundraising page??? (ReagansRaider’sLink: https://www.imwithfred.com/contribute.aspx?RefererID=e24c7c9d-55c2-4351-80fa-a5e79e40479e)

I think there are going to be a lot of us with those personal links here at FR... Why don’t we all stick with the main website — or at least refrain from using our personal reference links except on our user pages???

How do you feel about this issue Jim?

OK, this is getting OLD..
There is a BIG difference between free trade and giving up one’s sovereignty...

Hell, did we give up sovereignty by creating NORAD with the Canadians? Seems that something like NORAD is a lot more testing to one’s sovereignty than trade agreements.

This isn't 1900, the economy is global, whether we like it or not... and capitalizing on the global market does not automatically effect your sovereignty.. Not playing on that field, however, does risk your existence.

There is a global economy whether you want to admit it or not. Kerry is an internationalist. Clinton is an internationalist. Soros is an internationalist.

As long as he supports free trade, lower taxes, and other things I support, then I am happy.

I like Thompson but I am worried about his wife. She’s definitely a “trophy” wife and four years younger than his daughter. That won’t play well.

I found this reference from a FR thread from 2004.

At the recent climate change talks in the Hague, Senator Larry Craig (R-ID) said the treaty had not been ratified, until corrected by one of his staff. Phone calls to Senator Fred Thompson (R-TN), and other Senators, caught staffers off guard: Nobody knew how their boss voted on the ratification. They could not know -- there was no recorded vote.

Post 9, (UN) Law of the Sea Treaty Threatens Sovereignty

(As a former employee of the Heritage Foundation, I know that Heritage has opposed Law of the Sea since its first incarnation. I saw a document from the '80s when Reagan opposed it the first time.)

Fred should have gone to the debate.

I hadn't heard he turned down the invitation. Do you have a link?

Fred is doing the right thing. Why get into a fight you can’t win no matter how it is labeled? Let him get out what he wants to say without a manufactured place such as this debate. They only focus on the ones they want to focus on and the questions leave a lot to be desired. Maybe the other candidates should do the same. Get up their own television forums that feature only them. So why keep listening to scripted talks. If I wanted that I would only listen to Hitlery.

America is mad and I’ll bet that goes for both Democrats and Republicans.

Thank you very much for posting that link. I’d lost it and spent 2 hours yesterday trying to find it.

Using the word "global" is a big, big degree beyond "international" by their focuses, FWIW.

PS: I'd buy Ann a sandwich. Coffee, too.

The question isn’t if there is or isn’t a global economy, it’s how you play on that battlefield.

The internationalists like Kerry and Clintoon want us to bow to the global economy.

The isolationists like Paul want us to stick our fingers in our ears and say la la la, if I play on that field I won’t be the US any more.

The capitalists like Thompson want us to dominate that game.

So, we should doubt Fred’s stance because a law about this didn’t come up during his term??? Well, a law about building a border fence didn’t come up during his term.. I guess we should believe he is for La Raza because of that.. jeeze..

Gosh have you noticed with the moving up all this Presidential discussion and the running of debates so early in the process that it has fractionalized the republican/conservative/libertarians?
Perhaps that was the intent by the Soros crowd to push all of this too early to destroy everyone except Clinton.

He is the one who seem worried about facing off with the other candidates. I bet viewers are wondering why he skipped the debate and went to FOX.

Was he invited? Is he a declared candidate?
