OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — A $10,000 reward has been offered for information leading to the safe return of 18-year-old Kelsey Smith, who was forced into her car at a Target store on Saturday.
"Every indication is, it’s been an abduction," Overland Park Police Chief John Douglas told FOX News on Tuesday. "So far, our best information is coming from the surveillance video."

The video that was taken from the Target store is not bad- I hope and pray they find her soon.
Self defense rule #1: Never ever let anyone force you into a car. Never. Do whatever you need to do to avoid getting in. Scream. Fight. Kick. Yell. Cry. Plead. But don’t ever get in the car. Getting in the car is (in most cases) a death sentence.

The car was found across the street. There was a vehicle switch. Could have/probably was unconscious in minutes.

Exactly. Chances are, if things don’t go according to their plans, they will panic. It’s all about control and fear. If you keep in control, both mentally and physically, you have the upper hand. Some also believe that if you humanize yourself- tell them your name, details about you and your family, the attacker will also humanize you- and think twice.

Same with my 20 year old daughter. She does everthing exactly backwards in reference to her own safety............I don’t think I was that stupid when I was 20.......of course I was in the Marine Corps and a Guy..........
Enhancements of that tape should be fairly quick and easy for the FBI..........
More importantly, there's a far better chance of getting help early on, while still in a public place than in an evil person's choice of location.

I became a member today here to try and get the word out. I posted to Drudge and others and so far Fox is the only big network to mention it. I hope there’s still time for her. People need to see her face and the face of the suspect quick!

I did many stupid things as a teenager...like hitchhiking at night ....I would go beserk if my 22 yro did that stuff..
