The next time President Bush makes an immigration speech ... (vanity)

According to the Christian Science Monitor about a year ago, 'But in a letter to a constituent in 2004, Sen. John McCain (R) of Arizona wrote: "According to the US Border Patrol apprehension statistics, almost four million people crossed our borders illegally in 2002."'

Breaking out my trusty little calculator, every time the President makes one of his immigration cheerleader speeches, we need to remind him that, Let's see, 4000000 illegals / 365 days = 10958 illegals per day crossed the border that day.

And for the 2 hours of his speech, stabbing his base in the back, hmmmm, 10958 illegals / 24 = 456 illegals per hour * 2 hours = almost 1,000 illegals cross the border during his speech.

At 10958 per day, the 7 days that the Senate wanted to debate this bill for alone would have allowed, hmmm ... 10958 * 7 = 76706 in that week alone.

And I think these numbers are still REAL ... well, conservative ;)

If McCain is letting them out you can bet that they're low from the reality.

The flow across the border doesn't stop, day or night, holiday or weather, they keep coming, all day every day.

The President needs to be reminded that during his 2 hr speeches, 1000 more cross the border. He doesn't see a problem so maybe we need to show him the problem.

4 million in one year, yet they expect us to buy their "8 to 12 million total" BS.

More like 30 to 40 million.

“He doesn’t see a problem”

You wouldn’t see a problem either, if your primary goal was to create an “American EU” where, as a practical matter, the America’s become one economic entity with open borders among all of the countries.

No argument against this amnesty bill holds water, if your objective is an “AU.” And, there’s little doubt that is what he wants - and it would be good, from his perspective, if his legacy included the first serious move in that direction.

At 4 mil per year, during the 6 years of President Bush’s reign err term, 24 million have crossed, let alone what were here before.

According to the US Border Patrol

You mean the members of the Border Patrol that aren't in jail?

That’s why I asked the question. The SS system was in big time trouble before putting like 20 million of our brothers and sisters from south of the border on it,so I can imagine how this “new citizen bill” is going to help it !!!

I keep reading about the “AU”. I have tried to research this. What would the advantage be?

“What would the advantage be?”

One could only chalk up advantages in a Master/Slave, Elitist Socialist Controlled One World Order.

If anyone can think of, or knows of advantages in the real World, please explain.

Homeland security said 10 million got through in 2005 and the border patrol said 10 million got through in 2006. The amount is on the rise!

If true, I may have to revise my 30-40 million estimation. That's 4 million in '02 (McCain's own figure), 10 million in both '05 and '06, and it's probably safe to estimate '03 and '04 had a figure in the middle somewhere. ....say 7 mil for each of those years. Let's say 5 mil for the first half of '07 (half of the '06 total -- probably a conservative estimate). Added up that's 43 million since 9/11/01. Add that total to all the illegals already here before 9/11 and the numbers approach the total number of people in the entire country of Mexico.

Adios, amigos.
