WASHINGTON — Rep. William Jefferson, D-La., was indicted Monday on 16 counts related to a long-running bribery investigation on counts including racketeering, obstruction of justice and conspiracy. [snip]

I am sure that he will resign and the People of the LA 1st will elect another Democrat to take Jefferson’s place.

Don’t count your eggs before they hatch. I would be greatly surprised if this comes to more than a “Shame, shame on you” penalty even if he is convicted of something.

I agree with what you say, but $90 grand in the bottom of a deep freeze...even around here..thats what we call a clue...
Amen. I can hardly see much to be excited about these days. I think things look pretty grim and it is extremely hard to keep a positive attitude when you see extinction in several areas on the horizon.
