Just when the dust was beginning to settle following President Bush's latest assault on common sense, in which he accused conservatives of "spreading fear" by being honest about amnesty, Senator John McCain decided that fear mongering was not such a bad tactic after all. In fact, McCain decided that fear mongering was essential in trying to sell his amnesty snake oil to a skeptical and increasingly suspicious public.
On June 2, McCain rolled out his fear-based defense of amnesty on the campaign trail in Le Mars, Iowa. Responding to a question about deportation of illegal aliens, McCain delivered the following dilly: "In case you hadn't noticed, the thousands of people who have been relegated to ghettos have risen up and burned cars in France,'' McCain said. "They've got huge problems in France. They have tremendous problems. The police can't even go into certain areas in the suburbs of Paris. I don't want that in the suburbs of America.''

“I really didn’t expect things would get this bad this quickly”.
Please don’t take this wrong!
I’ve alienated a lot of “friends” over the years, trashed a 26 year marriage, and ended up damn near a hermit, simply by speaking out, and scaring people. Last thing you want to do, to be popular, is point out unpleasant things.
Most folks know something isn’t right, but as long as beer is cheap and sex comes easy, they can keep the boogieman in a little compartment, and almost forget about him. I reckon I never had any compartments in my brain. This has been coming on for decades.
Bring...
It....
On....
I have taken a no-French-bashing pledge, since the French did the right thing by electing Sarkozy.
These days, to compare McCain to the French is an insult to the French.
What McPain inadvertently pointed out was that the french have lost control BECAUSE they allowed too many immigrants with no french traditions. Also, the french lost their nerve.
Ma deuce likes a bunched up group target.
Strange, isn’t it, how the RINOs & neo-cons warn us that the American people won’t stand for deporting illegal aliens (AKA: enforcing our immigration laws) but every time ICE does one of its (`catch & release’) PR employer raids, and always before some amnesty `trial-balloon’, the American public enthusiastically supports the effort?
He lost it decades ago. I maintain that he was brainwashed by the enemy. Sad on a human level —but his subsequent screwing up of the nation is inexcusable.
You won't because we have guns.
And frankly you ought to be ashamed of yourself for suggesting something like this McCain, you crazy old man.

JAM THE LINES. LET THEM HEAR OUR ANGER AND FURY.
Persevere.
My problem is I just don't when to shut up. ;>
My daddy was a staunch conservative, but he always told me not to be so intense, “the pendulum will swing back”. I’ve never believed that was a viable analogy. Things left to chance usually go to Hell.
Hope that reverberates through the halls of the senate long and loud enough to reach his little cubby-hole.
look up the Mount pleasant riots 1991 for examples of Illegals rioting.
Yea, screw it.
Let’s not enforce ANY laws...that way no one will get pissed off.
Depends on who they are. Anyone that disbands the IRS cannot be all bad.
This hyperbole on your part is not pretty.
I was being sincere.
