This is not a minor matter. America is successful because it is a nation of laws. We now have a situation in which some laws are routinely ignored. If we approve yet another law that promises reform yet again fails to deliver on its promises, our precious heritage as a nation of law will be in serious jeopardy.

Makes since to me.

Thank you Senator Cornyn for your leadership in opposing this terrible bill! We need more CONSERVATIVE Republican Senators like you!

When Cornyn deletes the espanol option from his website he’ll have credibility on this matter.

Let me tell you what will happen if this bill passes.

The current 12-20 million illegals will get instant legal status (amnesty), regardless of whether they persue a path to citizenship or not. Then they will be able to bring in spouses, children and parents. This is not “chain migration”’ which includes extended family. This could easily result in tens of millions in addition to the current illegals.

All this will happen regardless of whether enforcement measures are actually implemented.

Tis alone is a killer for me. If I don’t want the current 12-20 million 3rd world people here, what makes congress and the president think I’d be any happier with another 30-40 million?

When GM introduced its card, they contracted with a telemarketing firm to take the apps. They had to hire 25000 people in a full employment market. They put a guy up on a billboard and he had to stay there rain or shine until the hiring was done. They advertised on radio and TV.

My point is just that all those lawyers in congress have no idea how to get things done. Just look at Washington DC. They have run it and it is a mess in every respect. Recently, I saw they have a 36% illiteracy rate even though they pay the most per pupil. If you have a choice, don't vote for lawyers.

Contact your senators for free:

1-800-417-7666.

(English number) The message is pro amnesty, but if you just wait, it will automatically connect you with your Senator.

This bill has to be defeated..the more one reads the worse it gets for the United States... I wish too that Sen. Cornyn would take the spanish option on his web site off.. this is the United States, and it seems every chance is given to people not to learn English..

If he continues to give voice to defeating this monstrosity I’ll forgive the Spanish button on his web site.

When will this thing die?

Congress seems to be pushing for revolution in the streets. Maybe that’s what they want; an excuse to confiscate weapons.

"Thank you Senator Cornyn"

Cornyn is opposed to this bill but he supports a different version of comprehensive immigration reform.

You wouldn't like his version any more than you do the one being debated/amended now.

"You wouldn't like his version any more than you do the one being debated/amended now"

That appears to unfortunately be a fact regarding every bill tossed around the Senate these days.

"or an excuse to call for martial law."

Same operation, different propaganda.
