The GOP is absolutely going to lose their ass on this issue. Moderates are the bane of the party and need to be voted OUT!

Say hello to another 40 years of DBM/dem congressional control America.

Well said. The Republicans vote for this, they give me and a lot of others no choice but to look elsewhere for some legitimate leadership. And it ain’t like they weren’t warned.

I would say your assessment is accurate. Everyone is so busy racing for the “middle” and never considers whether or not the “middle” is right. The “middle” is pc, the middle is average, it’s normal, it doesn’t offend. Striving for the center to obtain that brass ring of mediocrity, but in reality, the “middle of the road” is just yellow streaks littered with dead polecats.

Found the list of states on http://www.statelegislatorsforlegalimmigration.com

Arizona, California, Colorado, Georgia , Illinois, Indiana,
Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan,
Missouri, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico,
North Carolina, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Tennessee, Utah,
Virginia, West Virginia

Put pressure on your state legislators. If MA & CA can join, EVERY state should join. BTW, where is TX?

Cheating in class (or getting a diploma without passing the required tests), cheating by crossing the border illegally, cheating by committing crimes and not paying for it, cheating by bribery and corruption, cheating in general rewards Screw the Other Guy as a social strategy and makes chumps of the people who need a level of societal trust – they need retaliation against Screw the Other Guy – in order to continue to cooperate. Society needs to retaliate against cheaters because not to do so flips the coin from cooperation to betrayal. And that’s the end of everything we have worked for and cherish.

And – and – you don’t need to be a master of game theory to know this in your bones. Because if you are offended by cheaters, it is because you are being betrayed into – you are in fact being forced into – becoming a cheater and betrayer yourself. Always-cooperating dies quickly: if you never betray and the other guy always does, he goes free and you get 20 years every time. (In other words, he’s out getting high while you work to support him.) Sooner or later, even the most dense moralist gets the message.

When a tipping point is reached – when enough people are allowed to cheat – the system swings to a different stability mode (the default mode) and Screw the Other Guy becomes the only rational choice.

The rational choice. Think about that for a moment.

From an excellent piece at Bill Whittel's site.

Everyone is so busy racing for the “middle” and never considers whether or not the “middle” is right.

...And that's what I did. I never realized how detrimental "Moderate Republicans" have hurt the party. To just vote for them to keep the republican party in power is now going to be a thing of the past. Conservative, grassroot republicans are not going to vote for these rinos anymore just to keep them in power. It's going to be a hard lesson if this party doesn't get it now!!! The fact of all these people basically screaming at republicans to kill this amnesty bill should give them a slight clue as to what they are going to be up against if they decide to not listen and do what is right.

The conservatives need to wrestle back control from these spineless prix right now, or it's going to be over for a long time!

The correct complete corollary is thus:

“Those Against Illegal Immigration Are Not Racists, but Those For Illegal Immigration Are Traitors.”

The Bushes are much like the Clintons in that if you don’t agree with them, it is because you are a bad person, and must be demonized.

Polecat. A term my grandfather used to decribe a scoundrel. As fitting now as ever. Blackbird.

“Racism” is the shibboleth raised by the left to counter any arguments against their desire to radicalize the lumpenproletariat against those who succeed under capitalism. This, of course, leaves apparatchiks in charge.

Woman guilty of bilk
Comment on this story

DAN CHURNEY, danc@mywebtimes.com, 815-431-4050

A Rochelle woman admitted Thursday in La Salle County, Illinois Circuit Court she stole state unemployment benefits.

Graciela Marquez pleaded guilty to using an alias to receive $1,691 from the Illinois Department of Employment Security. Marquez has made a sentencing arrangement with prosecutors, but Circuit Judge H. Chris Ryan Jr. warned Marquez that if she got into legal trouble before the sentencing hearing — set for Thursday, July 12 — the arrangement would not apply.

The sentencing range for Marquez’s offense permits fine, probation and as long as five years in prison. She also could be ordered to pay restitution.

Another charge of identity theft was dropped. This charge referred to Marquez having fraudulent identification, which prosecutor Greg Sticka said Marquez used to obtain the state benefits.

Mendota police handled the case.

The 34-year-old Marquez does not speak English and relied on a Spanish interpreter in court. Marquez also is not a United States citizen, which prompted Ryan to tell her that with her felony conviction she could be deported.

Cheating to get a diploma...that’s a good analogy.
You get to keep the diploma so long as you pay a fine.

...But it’s not amnesty, because you paid a fine.

The same logic is used by the pro-amnesty crowd.

Let's put it this way: If I were convinced that all these Illegal Aliens would vote the decadent, depraved, dangerous, anti-American Democrats out of office and out of power,

I would personally place a Welcome Mat on the Rio Grande, and furthermore,

I would gladly welcome ten Mexicans into U.S. citizenship for every gringo Leftist we could kick out of the country.

That's the extent of my "racism"!

I wonder what Ronald Reagan would do about these criminal aliens.

Do you think those air traffic controllers might have some ideas?
