I think LeBron has done a lot to take our minds off of the bad call the Commish made on the Suns.
But then maybe that’s the whole idea.
James has been fun to watch the last 2 games.

Although LeBron is to be applauded for some of the shots he hit in the prior game, some of those trips to the foul line were gifts. Penetrate, fall down, go to the free throw line.
This would be one of those time where I would be interested in knowing which official gave James the velvet glove treatment.

Perhaps, but if they can get Tim Duncan on the bench with foul trouble they have a chance. SA without Tim can be beat.

My Pistons wimped out. They need a serviceable center. :(
They better make some judicious trades in the off season, they're starting to get old.

No doubt LeBron’s Game Five performance was the stuff of legends. That was one case where the term “Jordanesque” was truly warranted.

The Tigers bullpen is hurt right now. Good thing they have a lot of hot bats. They had a hot manager tonight too.

I can’t believe James wasn’t eating plywood in the 4th quarter. No way would the teams I enjoyed watching over the past 35 years would have let him get to the rim two straight times. Nah, would not have happened.

He’s lucky it wasn’t Laimbeer and Mahorn inside. :)

I just came from an AHL Calder Cup Championshp game - Hershey vs. Hamilton.
Now that was entertaining!

Unfortunately the hard foul has gone the way of the brushback pitch.
Many, many years ago, Showtime was running the Celtics off the court in a finals. Then Kevin McHale sent Rambus into the cheap seats with a hard foul on a break away. That foul turned the series around. Showtime never got out of first gear after that and the Celtics went on the win the championship. These days, McHale would have been fined and suspended.

That too, at his best. They were smart to get rid of him unfortunately, because his numbers were in a year to year decline. Id hate to meet him in the back alley, though. His arms are like tree trunks.

Detroit probably thought the same going into the conference championship series.

The officiating cut both ways throughout the series.

Poor Detroit. OSU beats Michigan. Cavs beat the Pistons. At least the Tigers climbed back to within 3 1/2 games.

I’ll never forget when Parrish hammered Laimbeer to the floor, and no foul called. Although a hardcore Pistons fan, I didn’t say anything. Bill was a mean and nasty player, and probably deserved it. The refs allowed some payback.

It usually does, however, in the 4th quarter a player should actually earn a trip to the line. IMO, one of the officials got caught up in the moment and gave LeBron just a little more latitude than should have been give. Like on one dunk James took 4 steps after giving up his dribble. Four, sheesh.

If Bruce Bowen and Robert Horry can’t figure out how to stop LeBron James, it may also be a short series.
