The D.C. Chapter of FreeRepublic.com invites all FReepers and lurkers in good standing to join us this Monday morning as we freep the Republican party over their leadership's support of the amnesty bill and their failure to support securing our borders first.
We will also be announcing the results of the FR poll on support for the GOP if the amnesty bill passes into law.
When: 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. Monday, June 4, 2007
Where: Republican National Committee headquarters, 310 First St., SE, Washington, D.C.
Bring: American flags and signs calling for border security first and no amnesty for illegal aliens. D.C. Chapter made signs will be available for use.
As always, the D.C. Chapter's rules for protesting will be in effect. Briefly, they are: No violence, no profanity, no racism, no provocations, obey the law and treat all law enforcement officers with respect. We reserve the right to refuse participation by anyone who refuses to abide by these rules.
Sorry, I hit the reply link for your post 70 by mistake. This last post was meant for The Spirit of Allegiance, post 69.
I will say a prayer for your FREEP this coming Monday morning in DC.
I am not able to make it since I live on the other side of the country, but I will be with you in spirit!
HOORAY! HOORAY! HOORAY!
Don’t worry....in the bigger scheme of things, it’s ALL of ours, isn’t it?
Wish I could be there!
King County, (Seattle) Washington checking in. In a straw poll at our county convention today, The results were (#1) Fred Thompson, (#2) Rudy Guiliani, (#3) Mitt Romney, (#4) Woo Hoo! Duncan Hunter. McCain and all the others never even made a showing.
Thres another big reason to push for defeat of the bill, if you want to play a little hardball with the Pols.
Bush refusing to enforce the borders and go after his business friends who hire illegal workers is a simple case of government corruption. Shades of Boss Tweed.
The cost of digging a ditch is what it is. When the government allows business to pass off some of its costs to the government treasury illegaly, it is undermining the free labor market.
The free labor market only works well under the rule of law - everybody playing by the same rules. When some companies cheat other companies have to cheat to stay competitive. The way a lot of companies are cheating today is by hiring illegal workers, paying them below market labor costs, and letting the taxpayer make up for it with health care, education, food stamps, etc. To me, its looking like a case of old-style government corruption on a massive scale.
I can only conclude that any politician that supports this bill is corrupt. (they think they can call me a racist, do they? I call them corrupt.)
Boss Tweed would make a good poster while denouncing corruption. I have to agree with you that this is corruption from the top of government.
Yes it is.
From your post 76 below:
This should be a call to prayer, and I mean SERIOUS prayer, for all believers...
I agree. Maybe someone who is good with saying/writing prayers can start a prayer thread here on Free Republic for the Lord to intervene and stop this illegal alien amnesty bill from being passed and to also preserve and protect our great nation and keep those that want to destroy it from being able to do so.
We need to turn from our wicked ways, and pray so that He WILL heal our land.
That is very important. He will not listen to our prayers if we do not start turning from our wicked ways as a people.
Thank you!! I can’t be there, but I’m certainly glad you are!
Thank you for the ping!
Beautiful post devolve.
6 .gifs in that one I think
Good reason to keep good files
I’ll be there in spirit! Carry on, Eagles!!
Yes, very nice!
That is a good one!
I knew I could depend on you two. Thanks!
I pray that this bill can be stopped.
Otherwise, RIP USA. :o(
At least you have a border on that thang. LOL
