A lawsuit filed by a Northern California lesbian against dating service eHarmony represents the types of excesses of the gay movement which do so much damage to their efforts to achieve public acceptance.
According to the Reuters article linked above, eHarmony "has long rankled the gay community with its failure to offer a 'men seeking men' or 'women seeking women' option."

I’ll say it again: If you’re gay or lesbian, living in Northern California, and you can’t find a date...you’re not even trying, are you?

There IS such a thing as the right to be offended and freedom of association. No one in a free society can completely please you and if you don't care for how certain people conduct their affairs, you are free not to associate with them. What you don't have the right to do is force them to change to stop offending you. You wouldn't want to be forced to change to stop offending someone else, would you? That's what is at stake in the eHarmony case: the right to be different in these politically correct times, especially if you ARE heterosexual. Now, that particular fact may hurt gays but its the way of the world. Nothing like this lawsuit shows the homosexual movement has evolved from wanting to be left alone to live as they please to forcing others to acknowledge their lifestyle choice. I think they should live the way they want but it doesn't give them the right to tell others to accomodate it. The right to refuse is as vital to freedom as the right to grant it. Its not up to government to choose sides in what is essentially a private transaction.

Sounds like a website dedicated to Southern breakfast food.
What’s wrong with that?

Of course what craigslist lacks is a 29 point psychological matching system that is designed to put compatible... oh, right... heterosexuals together.I wasn't aware that faggot compatibility involved anything beyond mutual presence in a public restroom.

a 29 point psychological matching system that is designed to put compatible...Dr. Neal Clark Warren, the founder of eHarmony, could claim that as a heterosexual ("breeder") he does not understand the homosexual lifestyle and has not enough expertise to do a psychological matching system for them. To do so would be false advertising. This kind of matching should be "for them, by them." In fact, I can't believe they would want Warren doing the job for them. Case dismissed.

You know, that might not be a bad option...by the time it got thru to the courts, it would already be past the election....lots of free publicity too!

I can peek in their basement at night. No plants growing and no kids that I can see.
The other day, the neighbor who lives on the other side of them was putting a sandstone walk from the back of his house to his deck. He put a three foot jog in it to avoid a tree. One of these bozos came out on his backporch and said, “That looks stupid!” My neighbor said, “Come stand by it and make it look smarter.” The dufus just went inside.

The biggest problem with gay activism is that they want to be treated as special or as victims when it suits them, and as "just like anybody else" when it suits them. My biggest problem with feminism is that they want to be treated as men when it suits them and as women when it suits them.

Of course what craigslist lacks is a 29 point psychological matching system that is designed to put compatible... oh, right... heterosexuals together. Could they are argue that their bogus little formula is designed for matching men with women, not men with men or women with women - that the entire dynamic of homosexual wants and needs would make them incompatible with the matching method that e-Harmony uses?
Not that I'm an e-Harmony fan but it seems like they could argue this point and win. Their whole canard is based on their profiles being fed into a computer and if the computer is geared only to match those of different genders they could not guarantee the same results with different gender combinations.

That was my point. I’m not an eHarmony fan myself, but if you have developed a personality profile system that “works” for heterosexuals, there is nothing to suggest that it would also “work” for homosexuals.
I think that that is probably how they are going to argue the case (unless it gets dismissed outright which, here in California, is not likely).
